Nikki Sivils Owl Banner

Well, I do have a little something to share today!!!  A project that I did for CHA that I couldn't show until now!!!  It's an Owl Banner made from Nikki Sivils products!

I am only showing a sneak of it here, you need to go read the "Cut the Scrap" online magazine that Scrapbooking and Beyond has.  There are complete instructions on how to replicate the banner!  If you like it, come back here and let me know!  I would love to get some feedback on the project, instructions, etc.  These are the most detailed instructions that I have I would love feedback on them!!!

Here is a pic on one of the owls and yes it's similar to the mini class I did this weekend.

Two of the owls have wings like above and the the other two owls have different wings.  This was so easy to make and I am including design time!

Alright have a wonderful fall day!!!!

ScrapAPalooza...Sept. 25 2010

Just going to share a few pics from ScrapaPalooza.  Nikki Sivils and a couple of us on the local design team helped with the three mini classes that were free to the crop goers!  It was a blast and every time we were supposed to do one, we had a line of people waiting.  We only did 50 each it was a first come first serve kind of thing, but oh so fun!  And I even designed one of them!!!  Here's a pic...not the greatest was quick the night I finished it and I didn't get another pic during the crop!!!
And one of the best parts of the crop was I got my co-worker, Lisa, to go with me!  I got her to come crop with me one night for a few hours and then she decided she liked it!  So...I had been bugging her to come with me to a big crop and I finally got her to do it!!  I think she was having fun, don't you??
I think I have her hooked!!!!  We got another cropper, Christina, that sat at our table to take our pic together..I will be scrapping this pic soon!!!!!  We were starting to look tired at this was later in the evening...but we were HAPPY!
Then I snapped a few pics around...I am only going to share a couple right now...I need to edit all of them.  And I didn't take very many.....opps...guess I was having too much fun scrapping!
Yeah...chocolate fountian...I got a pic before it got messy!
Nikki and Laura, fellow DT member...they were in some heavy discussion!!

On the embarrassing front.....

I have a case that carries my paint, ink, extra adhesive, Smooch Spritz (which is in glass bottles) and some other stuff on one side...and then the other side I keep 12 x12 sticker sheets of letters( Jenni Bowlin, Sassafras, etc.) plus any pics I have printed out to scrap.

As I was loading up to go...I thought to myself, man it would be bad if this thing did....the handle..which involved me dropping it of course.  Right in the entry of the door, when everyone is coming in, etc.  THANK goodness, those Smooch Spritzes didn't break....that could have been a nightmare...because I have all the colors....24 to be exact!  HAHAHHA

And here is a layout I got done.  I got this and a 2 page layout done....yeah...don't faint or fall out of the chair....a TWO PAGE layout...and I LOVE it.  That you will get to see later in the week!
Suplies: Echo Park A Walk in the Park Kit, Unity Stamps,
Maya Road journaling envelope,
American Crafts Thickers, Cat's Eye and Memento Inks,
Scotch,Fabi Tac and 3M Adhesives, Sharpie,
and Offray Ribbon.

Ok, that's it for me!!!  I am off to put my stuff up...yeah...sitting in the living room, just brought it in from the car!!  Have a great Sunday evening and I will catch you all later this week...probably tomorrow!

Are you a Gleek??? Queen Kat Designs Stamps

I didn't used to be...then something change within me....darn...sounds like something from a song!  lol lol

I am a GLEEK, I totally admit it and have been saying all day....GLEE is on tonight!   And it was great....and C was eating a slush from Sonic thru it!  LOL LOL

Well, I have nothing to show...darn it...but I have been crafty!!!  I have been working on DT projects.  Working ahead, since next month into Nov. is going to be a little hectic with my real job and I don't know how much crafty time I will have or feel like doing.  You may be seeing a lot of cards come that time! are going to be seeing more cards also because I was asked to join Queen Kat Stamps design team!  They do a blog hop every Tues., so I should be joining in on that for sure!  I was totally floored when Vicki asked me.  Some of their stamps are not something you would normally see me do, so it's going to be challenging and fun to try to put my "spin" on the stamps!  Here's a link to the store  QKD Stamps post is coming to a close...kind of like the previews that are on at the end of Glee!

I promise to try to get some crafty on that I can show later in the week!!

The Play Date Cafe.......Challenge 47

Have you heard of the challenge site The Play Date Cafe?  I LOVE it...but this is the first time I am playing along!  They have some awesome color challenges and you can do anything...altered art, a page, a card, etc.  It's a pretty fun challenge.  And hey...isn't that all about???  You need to stay true to the colors as much as possible...if you add any they need to be neutral.

Here is the inspiration photo for this week....I LOVE this color combo and it's not one that I would think to use!  Plus reminds me of Santa Fe, NM for some reason.  Don't ask..I's not an adobe, etc.  I think it's the turquoise in there possibly, mixed with the red.

So, I decided to just play around ...hee hee...yes there was a pun intended on that!  I have been buying stretched canvas, but not doing much with them.  So, I decided to drag one out!!  And my intent on this was to not be perfect...just be fun.

here are a couple of close ups
sprayed these with a little chalkboard glimmer mist
Supplies: Stretched Canvas, Unity Stamps, Distress Ink, Tattered Angel Chalkboard Mist,
Acrylic Paint, Fabri Tac, Mod Podge, and Glue Dots adhesives, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher
Memento Ink, Prima and Martha Stewart flowers

So, if you get stuck, a color challenge might be what you need!!!  Have a great rest of the weekend...I am off to clean house a bit and then get some scrapping done!!!

Canine Good Citizen and check out my header!!!

Happy Saturday everyone....I spent the afternoon with my Mom.  Her birthday is tomorrow so we went to lunch today.  Sundays are just a little too busy at the restaurants here and we both don't like waiting forever and a day to just eat!  So, Mom if you are reading this...which I don't know if you do or not.....Happy Birthday!

Did you notice the new blog header??  If not, look up (pointing up there).  How adorable is that?!  I have been wanting to change my header, but just could not figure out quite what I wanted to do.  So, my fellow dt member on Nikki Sivils, Leah Farquharson made it for me!  She has a custom blog header in her digi shop that she is a part of!!!  Here is the link, just in case you think you would like her to create something for you!  Tell her I sent ya!!!

I will also have a link on my sidebar, so if you decide later you can find it easily!     Leah's Blog Header

On to the scrappy side of things!  This is a page about my dear Fannie girl.  She crossed to the rainbow bridge a little over two years ago.  She was the first corgi in the household.  She was a Pembroke thru and thru.  Bossy, loud, bigger than life and truly my heartdog.  I miss her terribly, and I did cry a few tears when I made this page.  This was when she passed her Canine Good Citizen test at the age of 12 1/2!  Whoever said old dogs can't learn new tricks is so wrong.  Of course, it took about this long to get her to listen to anything we told her to do!  lol

My Friend Birdie Collection and Cute as a Button buttons,
Glue Arts Adhesive, Helmar Scrap Dots, Martha Stewart Border Punch,
American Crafts Thickers, Offray Ribbon

I for one, scrap a lot about the dogs.  They are my subjects of a lot of layouts, plus they are fun to scrap.  Don't forget to scrap the furry ones in your life!  And remember to get in the picture with them sometimes too.  I am always taking pictures "of the dogs", but I need to remember to hand the camera to someone else and "be in the picture" with them too.  Do you have a special pet in your life???

And I have a little more scrappy news, but I am waiting to share until I get the ok.  It was totally unexpected and took me by surprise.  I will share with you soon!

Have you heard of Darkroom Door????

What does this.
photo from

 Have to do with this.......

They are both Australian.  Well, Rick Springfield is both an Aussie and a U.S. citizen!  And I have a little confession...I have always had a thing for Australia.  Yep...that's right.  It started with Rick Springfield when I was...oh...I don't 7th or 8th grade!  (walls were covered from floor to ceiling..if I could stick it on there it was going up....including the doors!) But Australia does fascinate's a whole other world.

Which brings me to Darkroom Door!  Well, I hadn't heard of them either...but as you know, I am starting to really LIKE stamping!!  hee hee... They are based in Australia. They posted a guest artist call over on Two Peas in a Bucket and I took a look around their site...well, they have some AWESOME stuff!!!!  So, I decided I would try out...and I received the news that I was one of the designers that they wanted to create for them!!!  I am so excited!!!  They have some pretty awesome stamps, but they also have paper, photochips, filmstrips, and more.   Go check it out!  Darkroom Door

There are sixteen of us that were picked as guest artists and I am honored to be in the company with these designers!  So, if you want to see who made the list, here is the link to the blog posting  Guest Artists

hee didn't expect that did you?!  I am in a funky mood tonight, can you tell?!!!!!!!  And I totally changed up my blog post, just so that Mr. Rick Springfield's picture would show up on my blogfeed thru Network Blogs on Facebook!!!!

Ok...I am really going to get to bed.  And yeah...I still really do not like the word "migration"....not at all.

Anyone work in the IT business?! lol lol

Yep...that is the kind of day I have inspections and trying to get email accounts to work at our outlying stores.  I just love it when they "notify" you that the hosting/server service is migrating.  I think I am learning to dislike that word A LOT!!!  LOL LOL

On to the good stuff....I am getting ready to get crafty here in a bit.  I was crafty over the weekend, but unfortunately for you I can't show any of it yet!!  Fortunately for me it's DT stuff that is done!  hee hee....I can show you a couple of sneaks if you want to see.....
mmmm....cute tag!!!!
yep...Unity Stamps.....
looks kind of weird at that angle!!!
That Unity Stamp that I colored up there was colored in watercolour pencils.  Yes, I know watercolour is spelled wrong...but I think it sounds very French and makes this post look sophisticated.  (any other misspelled words, I have totally overlooked on accident!)  I pick up almost a whole set of pencils from Michaels of the Derwent pencils a month or so ago.  I have been trying to get the hang of takes practice, but I am learning to enjoy it.  I would love to have Copics...but I don't know how to use them well, they are expensive...and there are over 300 hundred colors.  I am a girl that if I get something, I want the whole set. hee hee

And all of the sneaks, btw are Nikki Sivils DT projects.  They will be on the Nikki Sivils blog later this month!

And I got a goodie box from Debby for the heArt of Scrapbooking DT she asked me to be on!  and.....wait for it..........

Did you wait????  There is some Graphic 45 in there.....I know right.  You are saying to yourself, what is she going to do with that??  Well, I haven't quite figured it out yet...but when I will be on Debby's Dare Blog first!!!  hee hee

Ok....that's it for an update tonight...Glee is getting ready to start and I am wanting to get a little messy!!!!  Have a great night!

Making Memories Guest Design Layout...

Hey everyone!!!!  Just thought I would do a quick update.

It has been a GORGEOUS weekend here!!!  Now, don't ask me if I spent anytime out doing anything....hee hee.  I was inside scrapping!  Saturday was a little hot and muggy and today, well it was run around and get some errands done that are a little hard to do in during the week.  There are days that I would love not to have to work.  But then I realize when I am on vacation, I don't get NEAR as much done as I do normally....maybe I take the word "vacation" a little too literally!  lol lol  And then I think about all the money I wouldn't have to spend....well, then that motivates me!

I have not shared my layout that I did for my Making Memories Guest Design spot, so I thought I would share that today.  (I made some stuff I can't share I was digging around to come up with something!)  I am copying and pasting the supply list from Making Memories, because I am being lazy!!!

Slice Design Cards:
-Funkadelic (all lettering/fabric letters use Mirror))
-Remember This (Cloud, Flower Striped and Pink Paper)
-Wedding Card (Flower Polka Dot)
(other supplies: Cat’s Eye inks, Scotch Adhesive, Unity Stamps, Glue Dots, Twine, Fabri- Tac )

closeup of the fabric flowers that I cute from the Slice
Butterfly cut from Shrinky Dink material, with the Slice, then stamped with Stazon and then shrunk with a heat gun.

Here's my Easel Card that I did for the post.
(other supplies: Cat’s Eye Inks, Scotch Adhesive, Sharpie Pen,
DMC floss, Embossing Power, generic ribbon)

Thanks for stopping by today.  I am trying to get caught up on all my blog reading, but I haven't had much luck.  I promise I will stop by soon, if I haven't been there in a while.
See ya maybe tomorrow!!!

Enjoy know you want to!

Well, I am sure hoping we get some storms again...that weather today was so humid from all the rain from the past couple of days.  Major ICK from me!!!  I am just ready for winter....bring on the cold baby!

I probably will not post over the weekend....I have mixed feelings about it.  With it being 9-11, just not sure that I want to or should...just out of respect.  I still remember where I home watching the Today show getting ready to leave for work.  I told everyone when I got to work that two planes had hit....and then everything started unfolding. Work was started slowly at the stations...the older generation who had lived thru World Wars....filling their cars....and then everyone followed.  Our parking lot was packed and the stores had to "direct" traffic to get some sort of a system going.  You just don't think about history on an everyday basis and that you might see one of the biggest stories unfolding in America's history right before your eyes....more like you read it in textbooks...not live thru it.  So many heroes, victims, and

Well, I am just going to post a layout tonight and be done I think.  This one is for the Unity Hip Hop Sketch Challenge over at SplitCoastStampers.  I was so excited because the sketch was more geared toward a page than a card!!!  I got to work on it right away.

Supplies: We R Memory Keepers Twirl Collection, Unity Stamps, Glue Arts Adhesive, Scrapbook Adhesives pop dots, Fabri Tac Adhesive, Memento and Distress Inks,
Pink Paislee Letters, Sassafras flower, American Crafts Stamp markers, Sharpie,
Ribbon and Twine unknown

I stamped this once in brown and then on different paper with different colors, cut it out and pop dotted.  Then I used actual jute to make the string, knotted it at the ends. The ends are fed thru holes that I punched first. The knots just add a little interest on the ends.
I stamped all these embellishments! And then I stapled the twine on each end.  The colored flower on the journaling note was colored with American Crafts markers and then stamped.
And that paper from We R Memory Keepers??  Well, I got it at TJ Maxx when I was in Arkansas.  It was so cute I couldn't pass it up.  I love We R papers and have a few paper pads, but haven't really used them!  I think I will be dragging them out more!

Ok, my eyes are getting sleepy!  Think it's time for bed!!!  Have a wonderful weekend, and please take a moment to remember.

Boo to you! And and giveaway......

Hee hee...guess has rained ALL day!!!  I love it!!!  I didn't like the driving in it so much, but I love the sound, smell and just watching it.  So relaxing and it has put me into a creative mood...I can't wait to pull out the scrappy table tonight and get busy.

Over at Two Peas in a Bucket they are having a Little Yellow Bicycle Challenge.  (If you read the blog, you know that they have recently become one of my favorites since discovering them when I went to Hot Springs on that business trip.)  There are three collections that you could use...two of which I didn't have...but I won the BooVille collection on Facebook back before CHA and hadn't done anything with it yet.  So, that prompted me to get out the goodies and start playing.

Now, I am not telling how long it took to make this...because well...we know...I am SLOW at scrapping.  And I kept fiddling with it trying to figure out where to put things.  And it's totally different than when I started...not a thing like I had pictured!  And this really isn't my usual style, but I thought it turned out pretty cute!!!
SuppliesLittle Yellow Bicycle BooVille Collection, Glue Arts and FabriTac Adhesive,
American Crafts Thickers, Making Memories Slice Machine and Paws and Claws card,
Smooch Spritz in Carrot Cake, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Maya Road Ribbon, Random Yarn.

Here is a closeup of the moon....I added the ribbon underneath,
sort of a halo effect!

And because Sarah is my online BFF and I want her to get in....look on the sidebar for the voting link.  She is up to be pubbed in Creating Keepsakes!  And she will for it only if you like it!  But hey, it's a cute layout and I think she deserves it!  You can vote once everyday until Sept. 17th.  So get to voting!

And a giveaway.....My stamp winner and new online buddy BJ has hijacked a blog for a shop owner that is gone to a trade show!!!!  So, if you head over to Eye-lets Etc. blog on this post (HERE) (and I will keep a link on the sidebar) until Oct. 1, you could win a priority mail box...the 14.95 size!...of goodies!!!!!  So you know you want to win!!!!

Ok...I am off to create...have a great fun night and get to voting and entering!!!!!

Just a little "blah, blah, blah!"

So, I was going to post a layout tonight, but I decided not to.  I am in a funky weird sort of mood, so I thought I would just share some pics!

And for those of you that are wondering.  The dogs are all Cardigan Welsh Corgis.  Not the Pembroke Welsh Corgis, that you are probably used to seeing.  These guys all have tails!  The main difference between the two at a glance is the tail/no tail and Cardigans come in more colors than Pembrokes.  They are two totally separate breeds.....think of it like...German Shepherds and Australian Shepherds...two different breeds.    Someday I will dedicate a post to my Fannie....she was my first corgi and a Pembroke.

Here are a couple from the trip this past weekend.  I LOVE...and I mean LOVE this picture of Jetson.  This is getting hung somewhere in the living room.  The fluffy boy is SUCH the glamour boy for the camera.....hardly ever a bad pic!  And yeah...I had to make it big on here, because I love it so much!

This next one was a lucky shot!  Ella Boo Bear hardly ever gives kisses, so when she does it is quite the occasion.  Now, for those of you that are going to go...eWWWWW, she is kissing on the mouth...sorry, that is done in this household....just think of what your kids have put in their mouths when you kiss them!  Just sayin'?!
And finally....I love Sonic....It's has always been one of my favorite places to go...I mean they have the best Dr. Pepper around!  A couple of Christmas' ago, they came out with "Totty the Elf" as a mascot.  I fell in much that I wanted an Elf hat.....and I wanted to wear it to Sonic!!!! ya go, since there are rarely pics of me on here!!!
Yeah...I am not making that one big!  lol lol.......and if you notice...I am pointing to Totty on the menu board....think I might upload to their facebook fan page! hee hee

Bye Bye Weekend...Bye Bye

My short vacation/holiday weekend is now at the Cinderella hour.  I think I need to win the if there are any psychics out there that would like to give me the winning numbers, please email them to me...I don't want to share the jackpot with anyone else!

And oh, the plans I had...the layouts and cards I was going to get done....well, the sleep I got is probably worth it in the end!  I passed out all dang day on Sunday practically....I don't think I even got up and moving until around 230!  lol  Sometimes a girl just needs her beauty sleep.

Thought I would update quickly, I am waiting for some Smooch Spritz to dry on some Thickers.  I needed some orange letters...and out of all the packages of Thickers I have....well, I didn't have orange.  EKKKKK...some call the Thicker police....I have committed a crime!  LOL LOL

Here is a layout I did at the same time I did the card below.  Just thought I would save the layout for today!!
Supplies: Girls Paperie Paper Girl, Unity Stamps, Maya Road and Tim Holtz tickets,
American Crafts Thickers, Glue Arts Adhesive Memento Ink, Sharpie,
Martha Stewart Border Punch, Offray Ribbon

I just love that picture and I finally decided that I was just going to scrap it.  I have had it printed for awhile.  I go nuts printing pics and then only get one or two scrapped, before I move on to another set of pics I have just taken!

Well, I think my thickers are finally dry, so I can finish up the layout I was working on.  And of course...then there is the mess to clean up.  I think everyone should have a scrappin' fairy to clean up after them...don't you???

Higgins Photo Shoot...LOTS of PICS!

Well, Mr. Higgins had a photo shoot.  (everyone did...but he is the, first on the blog!)  NOT that he was happy about it...but it is really hard to get pictures of him when he is out in the yard...he obsesses about the B.A.L.L. too much!  So here are a series of photos...these were all taken in about 10 minutes..but I have played with some actions, etc.  So, they may "look" a little different in color, etc.
No are NOT taking my pic!

ok...hang on...let me get in position first please!
really...we are really doing this??  Ok....I will pose a little!

ok...but I am not showing my Baby Blues...just saying I will show the teeth!
want a side view??  This is my BEST least he didn't show me his butt!

Ok...this is it..I am tired and my ears are on radar status....end of shoot!

The last pic of the day was the one at the beginning of the post....after a long and slobbery wrestling match with Jetson!

And we can't have a post without a little scrappy goodness right???  Here is a QUICK and I mean QUICK card...didn't take me any time at all to whip this out!  And Julie, if you are you think Brookie would like this one????
how the colors!

Supplies: The Girls Paperie Paper Girl, Unity Stamps, American Crafts Cardstock, Glue Arts, Fabri Tac, and Scrapbook Adhesives, Offray Ribbon, Memento Ink

I stamped the butterfly actually 3 times..once on the card...and once onto two different papers.  I then cut out the wings and pop dotted them up...and angled the top set so that you could see the stamped wings below.  I think it turned out pretty cute! here to get in the shower...and NO, hopefully the Coast Guard won't show up today either!!!

Have a Scrappy Kinda Day!!~~Katrina

Saturday, September 4, 2010's Saturday???

Weather is PERFECT...well, if we have to have no snow!  Mid 70's, breezy and just right!  If anyone is being affected by Earl that reads this...I hope all is well.  I haven't really heard or read any news today, so I wasn't sure what was going on with Mr. Earl.

Just a rant...have you ever thought you could get ready fast??  And then it turns out not?  Like this morning, we took a trip to C's parents to visit for the day and get the heathen dogs outta the house.  After the 15+ inches of rain, well, they were starting to get a little rowdy.  Thank Dog, we could open up the house and let them run in and out yesterday.

I digress...

So, I get up and get in the shower.  When I finally got out of the shower...I was informed that the Coast Guard was on stand-by just in case they had to rescue me.  Seems I was in the shower a LOT longer than I planned.

Coast guard coming from public domain images

Luckily, I have parred down the ole' makeup routine...I only put on 3 layers instead of 15 when I get ready now.  Unless, I know there are going to be cameras around that I am not controlling....then...well, a girl has got to look somewhat good.  And the bags I have under my eyes...well, I could probably fit all my scrappy stuff in them and still have room for more.....And I have A LOT of scrappy stuff!!!  So that part of getting ready didn't take as long as it could have!

So we had a nice visit, stopped by the outlet mall on the way up...scored a couple of storage bins  for 19.00 a piece...thought it might help me keep my smaller items contained in an area, so I will know what I have and can use them!  Found some industructible (cough cough cough) dog toys and a couple of MAC eyeshadows for my over 40 eyelids...yes...I try not to wear too much sparkly eyeshadow anymore!

On to the scrappy!  Here is a layout I did of one of my friends sons.  Dixie was gracious enough to let me come and take pics of them at SnowFest and for her triplets "5" year picture!  This her sweet!  I have had this printed for awhile, but just couldn't be in the frame of mind to scrap it!
Supplies: October Afternoon Thrift Shop Collection, Unity Stamps, Glue Arts Adhesive,
Martha Stewart Border Punch, K&Co. letters (wood), Maya Road stick pins and bingo numbers
Colorbox Cat's Eye Ink,  Holly McCaig Grungy Photo Overlays

Here is a close up of the stamped winged heart...I LOVE this stamp!!!
Stinkin' cute right??  Unity all the way baby!!!

And then I am up on the Kiki-Art blog today...(Saturday..for those of you reading a little late!) with a digital layout from the Sunny Bay collection.  No sneak here...head over to the blog and leave me some love!!!!

I got a little crafty last night, but I don't have pictures to put up yet.  A little Girl's Paperie was going on in my craftiness, along with some Unity stamping.  And man...I was trying to "organize" my stamps last night...and I have a LOT of Unity!  LOL  And no...this is not a paid endorsement nor do I play a real one on TV.  I just plain love their stamps!!!

Alright..I am hitting the mattress early tonight....I may go watch a little PBS...I love PBS...yeah I'm a dork..I know!!!!

Howdy...and my last bit of news.....

What....A picture of the Corgis that have been MIA on here???

Well, I had planned an update last night and a crafty morning today...but things didn't work out that way.

First there was a tornado warning issued out of nowhere last night.  It was raining cats, dogs, and frogs for awhile and then the "beep...beep....WARRRRRHHHHHHHHH  WARRRRHHHHHHHHA" went off and that means in the Midwest you better take shelter.  Or at least attempt to.  Then there are those souls that like to watch to see if they are going to get hit.  And yes...they do stand in the yard looking up.  I used to be like that, but not so much since we found out the house we live in has ACTUALLY been hit by a tornado before.  So, I do not take those things lightly.

Funny thing is there are certain things I always grab...the 10 second rule, I guess.  C and I make sure the dogs are taken care of...either getting the hard sided crates if it's going to be a long night, leashes and collars.  Then the purses and cell phones (and I am usually grabbing meds and my contact lenses stuff!).  Dog pilllows, because the dogs will be more comfortable and then if it does hit, we can throw them over us to protect from flying debris.

But last night a new edition to the group.....My Nikon!  LOL  I don't know what I thought I was going to do with it....take pictures of the tornado as it RIPS the roof and sides off the house and travels off into the distance?  lol  I decided my thought was insurance we could take pics of everything!  HA HA HA...even funnier....the SD card was in the computer!  hee hee

So because of all that, I didn't get around to getting an update done or any crafty goodies..because I was a little hesitant to drag all the stuff out!  And then when I tried to update...well, Blogger was not my friend at that I said heck with it and went to bed!

But today it was announced, so I get to announce it too.....I was ASKED to be a member for Debby over at "heArt of Scrapbooking"!!!  I was so floored when she asked me, I mean..she was a Fiskateer of the Year in 2008!  This lady has some skillz when it comes to craftiness!!!  The other ladies joining me are Connie Mercer and Erika Taylor.  Erika and I work together on Nikki's DT, so I was excited to she her name.  If you want to come welcome me...head over to Debby's Dare blog where the announcement was made this morning!

So, to make up for my non craftiness, I thought I would share some picutres I took a couple of weekends ago....and news flash....THESE ARE NOT PHOTOSHOPPED!  I usually do, but I decided not to, and then later I will "fix" them and post them again?  How 'bout them cookies...**note...I prefer cupcakes, just in case you would like to send any my way.....and white cupcakes are the BEST!**
I LOVE this picture......I snapped it on a whim and yeah...exposure isn't great..but I still love it!

snapped quickly and Higgins moved......Ella was the one that wanted in the water??

Waiting on C mom....she was getting us some bottled water!
Well, that's it for today....I won't update tomorrow....thinking of a day trip.  I am off to create!!!

Have a Scrappy Kinda Day!!~~Katrina
