It's been a little crazy around here since about May and that's after all the COVID general crazy that everyone has been dealing with.
The house was so very different after Sheldon passed at the beginning of the pandemic. We were already trying to find a new normal with that and then his loss was a big one. I am so glad that we were both working at home and able to spend the time with him and also with Jetson to get him used to being an only dog. I know, it sounds crazy "only dog", but Jetson came from a litter of nine and into a household with three other dogs, so he has never been by himself. So, meet CardiRidge No Sense of Direction aka Hazel!
We had been (cough cough I had been) talking to Ella and Jetson's breeder who had a litter of puppies. We knew if there was a puppy in the future with Jetson, we wanted a girl. Ever since Ella has been gone, Jetson has always been looking for girls when we are out and about with him. There was only one girl that was in the litter and we had watched her since day 1. She also needed to have the right temperament and attitude, with Jetson being 13.5 and partially deaf and blind, we didn't need a full on attitude and drive.
From the moment we got there to pick her up, she was focused on Jetson. We sat his little pen/crate up so that he could not get mauled by puppies when we got there. From the moment we did that, Hazel was laying near his crate, like she knew he was hers! I mean how cute is that?!!
Needless to say, everything has been a whirlwind since she arrived. Crafty time is at a premium with two people in the house that craft! Jetson is SO HAPPY to have another dog in the house, even if she can be a puppy brat at times! Now, I am not saying she is a total brat, but it's been while since we had a puppy. And Sheldon was not a normal puppy...he was so calm and docile! Hazel is quite busy and keeps us on our toes.
And here is a recent pic of her from last weekend. We took her and Jetson to the park to socialize and see some pet therapy people. They had so much fun and were tired! Bonus in my book! We are going to puppy class so you know there will be pictures from that!!!
I do have lots of projects that I have done, but hadn't taken pics of. About 30 of them! LOL LOL I hope to start sharing some of those over this next week. Have a great weekend!
