Thought I would pop in and share the altered frame I shared a sneak of for Maya Road a couple of weeks ago.
I found this fun chickenwire backed frame at JoAnn's. I painted the wooden frame with white chalkboard paint and was ok with the fact I didn't do it perfectly and some of it wound up on the chickenwire!
I used the Cocoa Vanilla Sugar & Spice collection for the paper parts that I did need. Almost everything on here is Maya and I cannot wait to figure out where I am going to hang this.
Supplies: Pattern Paper-Cocoa Vanilla Studio; Enamel Dots-Teresa Collins; Doily-Doodlebug Design; Sequins-WeRMemory Keepers; Chipboard Butterfly, Sun Clip, Canvas Flower, Chalkboard Tag, Kraft Camera, Twine, Clothes Pins, Trinket Pins-Maya Road; Glitter Pen-Wink of Stella; Adhesive-ThermOWeb
I loved this canvas mum and knew I wanted to use those fun trinket pins with it. I ran a Wink of Stella pen in white over the chalkboard tag and then layered a sticker and sequins on top of it.
These butterflies come as layers that you can use together or separately. I covered the bottom part with pattern paper, so that it would peek thru. The top part, I just painted with some acrylic paint.
These fun shaped paper clips from Maya can be altered to match your projects, with just some supplies you have on hand. Here I used some VersaMark and embossing power to make my sun a true yellow! You can also paint them, color them with alcohol inks or pens, etc.
I am hoping to get some new projects that I can post for you done and photographed. We are in a series of rainstorms and flooding! Nothing has happened here thank goodness, but when the rain comes it come hard, fast and a lot. Have a great Tuesday and craft something pretty!!!!
This is too cute! What a great idea.
