Toy Lover-Scrapping With Liz Template and Scrapping Our Stash Blog Hop.

After a month break, we are back with the Scrapping Our Stash blog hop. This is a hop to encourage us to use that stash that gets put to the back when the new stuff comes in!  AND as a bonus I used a Scrapping With Liz template as the inspiration for my layout!

You should have arrived from Juliana's blog HERE.  If you missed it, head over there!

Supplies: Gossamer Blue Kit, Therm O Web Adhesives, American Crafts Thickers, Scrapping with Liz Template Recyclables 41

Here is a look at the template set I used for the layout. I am sure you can see which one I used!  This is great set of multiple templates that work with your die cutting machine if you can trace PNG files!

You can find them in The Lilypad store HERE.

Let's take a look at some close ups. I used a ton of enamel dots on this, mainly because I wanted something to accent the circles!

And then the title.  I had a hard time coming up with one and almost didn't do it!  But the lure of going around the circle edge was too strong and I couldn't resist!  And I can always change it later if I want!

So that's all I have for inspiration today, but there are some other ladies that have more for you!  You can follow on to Majken's blog HERE.  And the entire list is below, if you want to open up a few tabs all at once!

Thanks for coming by and hopping with us today!!  Have a great weekend!

Toy Season-Fancy Pants Design/The Cut Shoppe

Hey there!  This project was up on The Cut Shoppe blog last week.  It is another project that did not start out in my head like it finally turned out here!!

I used the new Fancy Pants Atwell collection, which has a bold artsy theme to it. I went pretty light on embellishing for that reason and I just didn't feel like the layout called for a lot of stuff on it.

This layout uses the Spinwheels cut file and you can find it in the shop HERE.

Supplies: Pattern Paper, Puffy Stickers-Fancy Pants; Flair-A Flair for Buttons; Twine-May Arts; Tag-Maya Road; Geotags-KI Memories; Sequins-WeRMemory Keepers; Adhesive-Therm O Web; Digital Paper-Just Jaime; Wood Veneer-Studio Calico; Silhouette Cameo

I backed some of the cut outs with fun papers, but then I also used my left overs from my cut to accent. I did use foam adhesive to pop these black and white pieces up for a little dimension.

I used a digital paper from Just Jaimee as the background for my journaling.  I am finding out there are lots of ways to journal using your Silhouette and I am hoping to share those with you in some step out tutorials.

And then in some of the centers, I just stacked a couple of sequins together and bam, sparkle but not too much!

Alright, well that wraps up this blog post for a Monday!!!  Hope it's a good one too you, I am hoping it is to me!!!

Hybrid Notebooks with DecoFoil

So, as soon as I finished these for ThermOWeb, I told myself that I would be making more of these!  So fun, so quick and the options and varieties are endless!  These were up on the ThermOWeb blog Monday and you can see steps over there!  The post is HERE.

Supplies: Digital Scrapbooking Kit-Just Jaimee, Paislee Press; DecoFoil-ThermOWeb; Stapler; Copy Paper; Cardstock-Epson; Laser Printer; Laminator

These are so quick and easy to do.  It took me longer to figure out what papers and sayings I wanted to use than it did to make them!

I really like the aqua DecoFoil with the pop of the yellow chevron paper here!

So head over to the ThermOWeb blog and check out all the deets!  Have a Happy Humpday Wednesday!

Like a Boss-Maya Road and Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Friday's seem to be busy posting days on blogs for me!  This card was up over on the Maya Road blog last Friday.  You can find the details about the supplies I used HERE.  AND did you know that you can also shop on the Maya Road website?!  You can do that HERE. Now if you have a local store, please support them.  You can touch, feel and drool (well not on the products!) in person and it's so much more satisfying.  If you don't have a local store, there are online stores that can use your support also.  But if you are having trouble finding what you want in Maya Road products, you can head to the site and get them there!

Supplies: Pattern Paper, Enamel Stars, Die Cuts-Cocoa Vanilla Studio; Cardstock-American Crafts; Arrow Clip, Wooden Token, Journaling Note Card, Ribbon-Maya Road; Adhesive-Therm O Web

See some new goodies??  Like wood and a new journaling note card die?!!  LOVE it!

And I struggled with how to use this arrow, but knew I wanted to get it on there.  A staple with my mini stapler did the trick!  And ties it in with the stapled ribbon below!

And the Totally Rad collection for Cocoa Vanilla Studio rocks!!  I love orange and I have actually been hoarding that paper!!

Ok, back to the real world of accounting and shuffling paper, but not the fun kind!  Have a great day!

Hello-Let's Be Friends Scrapping With Liz/Amber LaBau

I have gotten a couple of hybrid layouts done that I haven't shared yet.  So I thought I would share one today!  This was actually the second one I did and it was trial and error on some things, but I love how it turned out!

This is based on a Scrapping with Liz digital template called: Recyclables 40.  You can find the template HERE.  There are actually four more layout templates in the kit and it would be a great one to pick up!  I think with one of them it would be fun to use some sketch pens!

Supplies: Digital Template-Scrapping With LizDigital Papers, Elements-Amber LaBau; Sequins-We R Memory Keepers; Twine-May Arts; Cardstock-American Crafts; Adhesive-Therm O Web; Silhouette Cameo

So, the top paper with the pink feathers/blue geo pattern I printed all at the same time.  I just did the patterns on the top and bottom of the paper, so I wasn't printing an entire sheet.  I also traced the PNG that is the chevron and then cut it out of the top sheet of paper.   THEN I did a fill pattern and filled the chevron with another pattern paper, then printed on another sheet.  This only printed the chevrons not a full sheet of the black and white birds.  This saves on ink a TON!  NOTE: I am still perfecting my technique and how I want to go about doing these!

These I did a print and cut on.  You pull the elements into your software, print them with registration marks on the paper.  Then you do not move ANYTHING on your mat in your software once they are printed.  Then load you printed paper into your Cameo and cut around them!  It takes a little practice, but it's pretty fun!

I have gotten one more digital layout done, and it was fun to do also!  I will share that with you next week!  Have a good one and come back on Monday!

Tether Fun-Jillibean Soup and A Flair for Buttons

So, as I share this layout, this is bittersweet.  I had mentioned that something had happened over the past couple of weeks.  Ella ruptured a disc in her back, which is not a good thing. The sooner you catch that they have done something like this the better and thank goodness, we caught it within 10 minutes of it happening.  Carleen and I were both home.  We loaded her up in the car and got her to vet as quick as we could.  And Dr. B, well, we love him.  He is a WONDERFUL vet and we just cannot thank him enough for taking care of everyone in the pack here.

This layout was in progress when all this took place and I cried a few tears as I finished it.  Ella is doing great and is recovering remarkable well, but there will be things that she cannot do again and this is going on the list.  We don't want her doing anything that could even create a possibility of her rupturing another disc and this toy is out, along with jumping, playing rough, etc.

Supplies: Pattern Paper, Die Cuts, Acrylic "awesome", Stickers-Jillibean Soup; Punch-Martha Stewart; Doily, Letters-American Crafts; Flair-A Flair for Buttons; Sequins-WeRMemory Keepers; Adhesive-Therm O Web

I love this collection from Jillibean Soup and I honestly think it's one of my favorites from them.  I do love me some pink!  LOL  But it also worked so well with some of the flair I had on hand.

And a PINK Camera??? Sign me up, bonus it comes in a set about Nikon cameras!!

Here are the two flair sets I used for this layout

Say Cheese Nikon Girl                                 Tell Your Story 1

That's all from me today. Ella will be doing some rehab work once she is more stable.  We need to get to around day 21-30 to make sure of exactly where we are at and the risk of injuring more nerves has passed.  We definitely got lucky and she has been a trooper thru it all.  I will post more about what happened, is going on and steps of her recovery, but I am just not ready to share all of that yet!

Cherry Blossom Frap-ThermOWeb and DecoFoil Mixed Media

I didn't realize until I was looking thru some things that I hadn't shared this layout I did for ThermOWeb here on my blog.  The project was DecoFoil with mixed media and the first thing I thought of was a stenciled background with some gold touches.

Supplies: Pattern Paper, Puffy Stickers, Die Cuts-Pink Fresh; Letters-Pink Fresh, American Crafts; Doily-American Crafts; Adhesive and Foil-ThermOWeb/DecoFoil

I used the new DecoFoil Adhesive Pen, that's right...pen, to do my foiling with.  This is a fun and quick way to add touches here and there without overpowering your project with foil  You can see my steps over on the ThermOWeb blog HERE.  I also added touches of green, as you can see here.

And you know me...I love a doily!  So why not add some touches of gold to it?! I will definitely be doing this to doilies in the future.  I love how it turned out and cannot wait to do it with some other colors.  I may just sit down and do a bunch of them and have them ready to go when I want them!

Cherry_Blossom_Frap_Scrapbook_Layout_Mixed_Media_ThermOWeb_Katrina_Hunt_1000Signed-3's Monday and maybe I am going to need to go to Starbucks?!  I though this frappucino was ok, but my favorite is a Candy Cane....aka Peppermint!   Have a great day!

123 Smile Hybrid Layout-Scrapping With Liz

Every month there is a new challenge on the Scrapping With Liz blog, a template challenge!  The one for April just went live and you can find it HERE.  This is a great way to try a template with your die cutting machine and see how easy it is to create with it!  Your software must be able to trace a PNG and you are set!  OR, if you want to try a little digital, it's a good way also!

I created a hybrid page using the template and the One Little Bird collection "Hopscotch".  I love how this page turned out.  I will say, I did flip the template around!

Supplies: Digital Template-Scrapping with Liz; Digital Collection-One Little Bird; Cardstock-American Crafts; Background Paper-One Little Bird for Gossamer Blue; Flair-a flair for buttons; Enamel Dots-My Mind's Eye; Stickers-Elle's Studio; Doily-American Crafts; Adhesive-Therm O Web

I created this layout almost entirely in the Silhouette Studio software.  If you are doing hybrid, it's a great way to see what you project will look like (or close to it) and not waste ink.  There are a few different ways to go about doing this and I will be going into more detail on that later.

I used American Crafts cardstock to print on and I used the textured side.  The colors come out softer than they look on the screen, just a little tip. I also printed out of the Silhouette software.  I will have some tips later on how you can make them a little brighter and deeper if you have Photoshop/PSE.

This little saying was a digital stamp/sticker that came in the One Little Bird kit.  I printed, created an offset around and then cut out with my Cameo.  Honestly, I am still learning a ton about the hybrid process and trying to figure out the best way to convey how to do it!

So fun right?!  Head over to Scrapping With Liz HERE and grab the template.  Play along, even if it's with paper from your stash and enter the drawing for 10.00 to her store at The Lilypad!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  It's been a heck of a week, more on that later.  Happy Wednesday!
