Last month I did not get to participate in the Scrapping Our Stash blog hop, so I made sure I got a project done in plenty of time this month! You probably came here from Christine's blog and if not, no worries, I will have the entire blog line up at the end of the post! AND I have a giveaway for this hop also! Details are at the bottom!
I have had this Fancy Pants Design collection since it was released and never even used it. And I have been hanging on to this picture of Carleen's surprise party at the pottery shop for her birthday week. Bam, instant combo for a layout!
Supplies: Pattern Paper, Die Cuts, Buttons, Letter Stickers-Fancy Pants Designs; Twine-May Arts; Doily-Wilton; Wood Veneer-Gossamer Blue; Heart Clip-Maya Road; Adhesive-ThermOWeb Designs
The way I did the title left a hole where something need to go. I started to put just the camera up there and then started playing around and ended up making a layered cluster to go there. It balances out the big "memory reel" at the opposite bottom corner.
There is one thing I know for certain, if I can make a doily fit on a page, I will do it! I really didn't need to add one here, but it just looks so cute, I couldn't stop! And then, of course, the pocket needed some extra embellishing also! The "like" clip from Maya was the first embellishment and then I just started adding!
Wondering about the giveaway?! I have a collection of flair (we are talking a sandwich baggie practically full!) that I got when I was on a kit team. Since I am on {a flair for buttons} it is just sitting here and should go to a home where it will be used! So, you have to leave me a comment about what you favorite embellishment is! I will leave the giveaway open until Thursday, July 30th at 12 pm. I will announce the winner here on Friday, July 31st.
Ok, from here you head to Majken's blog! And if you just jumped in, the entire blog listing is below! Thanks for stopping by this Friday. Have a great weekend!
Awesome layout!!!!!! Thank you for sharing!!! My fave embellie, as of right now, are enamel dots. But that can change tomorrow, next week, who knows?? I just like pretty stuff! :)
ReplyDeletefantastic page as usual Katrina - I love all the wonderful little details that draw your eye around the page. Right now many of my pages have cut files on
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this page! How fun!! My fave embellie is currently enamel dots. I use them on pretty much everything!!
ReplyDeleteGreat page, love all the
ReplyDeletelittle goodies you added!

Great page!! I love your title and the sweet little pocket!
ReplyDeleteLove your page and especially the memory reel - such a fun pocket! My favorite embellie at the moment is probably enamel dots and sequins.
ReplyDeleteI seem to use ribbon or twine more than anything. I'm a card maker so I can't get anything too elaborate - might get destroyed in the mail. Flair does seem to hold up well so I could make good use of your bag of goodies. I love the layout. A great idea with the camera at the top of the page. Looks like a Polaroid with the film coming out.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing a great memory.
Wonderful page! I love the way you wrapped your title around your photo and I love the texture that the doily adds!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite embellishment is hard to pin down. I love to create my own die cuts, but I also love enamel dots, wood veneer pieces, flair and sequins! It's fun having many different embellishments to choose from for any given project!
Thanks so much for sharing and for the chance to win some more fun embellies!
My favorite embellishmen that I pay for is Dazzles, but for free, it is scraps that on my desk.
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else, I also love enamel dots. However, flair is a close second!
