It is Sketch Week over on Allison Davis' blog and I had time to play for the reveal this month! I really wanted to change this up, but I just did some little changes here and there. I will admit, I went a little wild with all the layers and patterns, but I love how it turned out!
Here is the sketch we were given. AND if you want the full sketch with measurements, go to HERE and get the FREE download! Be sure to check out Allison's blog all week for different takes on this sketch. I know there are a few of us playing along!
I told you I was in love with the Cut and Paste collections from My Mind's Eye right? Well, here is the Adorbs collection. I couldn't wait to use it. The colors rock my socks! And I still have lots of this one left! Was that enough of a warning?
Supplies: Pattern Paper, Embellishments, Washi Tape-My Mind's Eye (Cut and Paste Adorbs); Ink-Prima Chalk Ink (Tin Roof); Pen-Sharpie; Punch-EK Success; Adhesives-Therm O Web Adhesives; Sketch-Scrapbook Generation Free Sketch Download for Week of August 19th 2013)
I did make some changes, though they are very minor and just moving things around. The title I moved up along with the journaling. I had a blank space that was throwing the entire design off. I luckily had picked up the journaling cards that My Mind's Eye had for this line. I usually don't! And one of the cards fit RIGHT where I wanted it to. I did tuck a line or two under my picture, but I was pleased when that last piece of the puzzle came together!
Honestly, I do not stare at a sketch while I am working on it. I will look it over before I start and usually decide which direction I want to do it and then how many pictures am I using. After that, I will not really look at it again. I laughed when I started this post, because the sketch uses hearts and I truly did not do hearts on purpose at all!
