17turtles Design Team Announcement

If you have been here, you know I guest designed for 17turtles and Juliana's fun cut files.  Well, today I get to announce that I will be on the design team for 17 Turtles with two other creative ladies, Monquie and Suzanna!

To celebrate I am giving away a $10.00 gift certificate to the 17turtles store!  There is also a $20.00 giveaway on the main 17turtles blog.  You can find that giveaway HERE.

For my giveaway leave a comment on this post by Thursday, January 22 2015.  I will pick a winner from all the comments and announce it here on Friday, January 23 2015.  Let me know what your favorite cut file in the shop is for an extra entry!

I created a layout for this announcement as a "just for fun" project!  I used the Diamonds Background cut file and just backed it with fun pattern papers. I used my January Gossamer Blue kit for this one and a fun find from ThermOWeb adhesives that is great to use with die cuts!

Supplies: Pattern Paper-Gossamer Blue, Teresa Collins, American Crafts; Cardstock-American Crafts; Die Cuts-American Crafts; Wood Veneer & Cork-Gossamer Blue; Wooden Enamel Dots-Teresa Collins; Twine-May Arts; Flair-{a flair for buttons}; Adhesive-ThermOWeb; Mist-October Afternoon

Silhouette Cameo with the following 17turtles Cut File
Diamond Background

The "fun" from ThermOWeb are these Sticky Dots sheets!  You can find them HERE.

This die cut was so large and I wanted an easy way to adhere the backing paper, without getting adhesive everywhere.  These sheets did the trick!  I have had them and just hadn't used them yet.  So happy to have discovered that option for die cuts now!

Lots of measuring and cutting strips of paper for this backing.  I started with the wood grain and then moved to the colored polka dot paper strips.  After getting those trimmed and placed, I then did the backing with the black and white polka dot paper.  I am liking how it turned out with the colors!

Thanks for stopping by and celebrating with me!  Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win the gift certificate!!
