DecoFoil Gift Box

Welcome!  I am back today to share a project I made for the Therm O Web booth for CHA and also to announce the winner of my personal giveaway for the Top Ten Blog Hop.

Now on to some gift wrapping inspiration!  I have had a bare chipboard box forever and decided to alter it into a gift box and make a big ole bow for it with DecoFoil!  DecoFoil has three new colors and I have two of them here:  Lilac and Champagne!

I measured the top of my box so I would know how big it was.  Then I found a bow cutting file in my Studio software that I liked and sized it to fit the box top.  I was ok with the bottom section hanging over slightly and actually planned it that way. 

I cut the bow pieces out of the NEW Toner Sheets from Therm O Web!  I had previous been making my own toner sheets with a black sheet of paper that I would upload to Kinkos and have them print them off.  Now, you don't have to do that!  They come in a basic sheet and also a PeelnStick sheet.  Here I used the basic sheet as I didn't want the bow sticking to itself!

I did the edges of the box top with the Liquid DecoFoil adhesive and then just burnished the Champagne foil on after the adhesive was set and ready to apply foil to. 

 

I added a fun felt flower from Maya Road as the center for my bow.  It needed something more than a brad or a button!  I used Jumbo Zots to attach all the layers of the bow and they were the perfect size for this size of bow!
