Cards with Maya Road

Thought I would share a few cards that were up on the Maya Road blog in January, since I hadn't shared them here yet. I usually just create one card at a time, but I got going on my first card and when I finished was in the mood to make a second card!

Supplies: Cardstock-American Crafts; Pattern Paper, Enamel Triangles, Tags-Crate Paper; Flower, Tassel, "thank you" die cut, Butterfly, Tags (kraft and die cut), Twine-Maya Road; Doily-Wilton; Adhesive-ThermOWeb

That trio of tags is from a die that Maya Road has!  Love their steel turquoise color dies!

These little flowers are quickly becoming a favorite of mine!  And they come in multiple colors!

This card has to be one of my favorites that I have made.

And these tulle flowers I love!  These were new for CHA.  The script for the "thank you" die is elegant, yet fun.  I love to cut it twice and create a little extra depth for it.

That's all for this Monday!  We enjoyed a nice weekend with the doors and windows open.  Crazy in January, but it was nice for a change.  The dogs didn't think so, they all got a brushing and a bath!  Happy Monday!

2 with Fancy Pants and Maya Road

Oh the poor blog, it's been gathering dust. I need to get into the routine of scheduling posts over the weekend!

I have been sitting on posting this project for awhile. It was made for the Maya Road booth at CHA and has some of the new embellishments and accents that were released. I had also just gotten the new Fancy Pants collection, so it was a perfect combo to work with.

Supplies: Pattern paper, Puffy Stickers, Labels, Tags-Fancy Pants Design; Tags, Wooden Embellishments, Flowers, Clip, Bow, Ribbon, Resins, Twine-Maya Road; Doily-Doodlebug Design; Adhesive-Therm O Web

I love these little hoops!  They are so fun to play with, but I decided to back this one and use it as a little frame. The mason jars and those little mums are going to become a favorite pretty quickly. I am actually hoarding them, because I don't want to use them all up!

And this is just a bunch of fun stuff all piled together! Everything you see here is new Maya Road that debuted at CHA. The wood veneer is actually a bobbin shape that has a hole at the top.  I just had to stick one of those flowers in there. And that arrow die cut from Fancy Pants just had to find it's way onto my layout!

So that's some of the new stuff that was released.  And anything that has color, well, there are other colors also.  And this Fancy Pants collection is just fun to work with. It's one I would almost buy again and that usually doesn't happen!

Happy Friday and be sure to stop back by next week.  I will definitely have some new posts up then!

Friends and Family with The Cut Shoppe and Fancy Pants Designs

Just going to say it now!  This Happy Place collection from Fancy Pants Designs is currently one of my favorites.  I have used it for two CHA projects and then this one and I am not tired of it yet!  And I even blew thru a 6x6 mini pad!

This layout was up over on The Cut Shoppe Blog Friday and I am just getting around to sharing it here.  I used the Centered Chevron file, but it packs a bunch of impact for one file. It's an older one, but it's a great one to have in your collection.  I have a few more ideas for it!

Supplies:  Pattern Paper, Die Cut Empherma, Tags, SMILE puffy sticker-Fancy Pants Designs; Doilies-Doodlebug Designs; Enamel Dots-My Mind's Eye; Ribbon-Unknown; Adhesive-Therm O Web; Silhouette Cameo

Here is what the file looks like and where you can find it in the shop.

I just added pattern paper behind the cut file and then a LOT of foam adhesive to pop the cut file off the pattern paper background that I used.  And I accidentally ordered two sets of tags, so I thought "why not use them"!?!

I used some of the smaller doilies from Doodlebug Designs to add accents to the corners of my photo area.

I love the "smile" word and it fit perfectly there! This layout was all about adding small touches here and there for me!

Well that's all from me today!!  Now go grab that cut file!!!  Have a great day!

DecoFoil Gift Box

Welcome!  I am back today to share a project I made for the Therm O Web booth for CHA and also to announce the winner of my personal giveaway for the Top Ten Blog Hop.

My random winner is Mandi Holmes!  Please contact me at with your mailing address, so that I can get some goodies out to you!!  Congrats!

Now on to some gift wrapping inspiration!  I have had a bare chipboard box forever and decided to alter it into a gift box and make a big ole bow for it with DecoFoil!  DecoFoil has three new colors and I have two of them here:  Lilac and Champagne!

Supplies: Pattern Paper-Pink Paislee; Canvas Tag-Pink Paislee; Felt Flower-Maya Road; DecoFoil-Therm O Web; Adhesives-Therm O Web; Toner Sheets-Therm O Web; Silhouette Cameo with cutting file

I measured the top of my box so I would know how big it was.  Then I found a bow cutting file in my Studio software that I liked and sized it to fit the box top.  I was ok with the bottom section hanging over slightly and actually planned it that way.

I cut the bow pieces out of the NEW Toner Sheets from Therm O Web!  I had previous been making my own toner sheets with a black sheet of paper that I would upload to Kinkos and have them print them off.  Now, you don't have to do that!  They come in a basic sheet and also a PeelnStick sheet.  Here I used the basic sheet as I didn't want the bow sticking to itself!

I did the edges of the box top with the Liquid DecoFoil adhesive and then just burnished the Champagne foil on after the adhesive was set and ready to apply foil to.

I added a fun felt flower from Maya Road as the center for my bow.  It needed something more than a brad or a button!  I used Jumbo Zots to attach all the layers of the bow and they were the perfect size for this size of bow!

This is just the first of a few projects I did for CHA.  I cannot wait to share them all with you.  Thanks for all the love left on the blog hop!!  You guys ROCK!  Have a great Wednesday!
