Hello Fall-Playing With Digital

It's Wednesday, which means two things...Hump Day (aka ready for the weekend!) and it's the SOSN sale over at The Lilypad.  I decided to play with a digital template and a little mini kit that is in the sale for a digital layout.  I swear, the Pollys are all so talented with all their digital creations, that I feel lame playing in that league!  But, no time to print anything to work with and I wanted to play!

So, no close ups or anything, just the page!  I used most of the Mommyish template that is actually like a quick page that you can just drop photos into and mixed in a some papers from Amy Wolff Designs to make it a little different.

Digital Products Used: Template-Mommyish This Month Captured Dolled Up Templates October 2016; Kit-Amy Wolff Designs Not So Spooky Mini Kit

So YAY!!!  Go grab them while they are on sale thru Wednesday night at 50% off!  And I am going to throw another digital layout in here!  I did this one last week with some of the October 2016 BYOC (Build Your Own Collection) and a Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs template.  The templates help me with shadows!

Fall Day-1
Supplies: Template-Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs Today is the Day Dressed Up Template; Kit-Lynne-Marie Russet Bundle; Embellishments-Forever Joy Noted Pretties

And that's all from me today!!!  I will try to pop back in at the end of the week!  Happy Wednesday, humpday and weekend ahead!!!  HUGS!

Sunflower Field-Lilypad Blog, Amber LaBau and Paislee Press

One thing I love when I see digital layouts is how many pictures they can get on a page if they want!  And it doesn't look cluttered!  So, I have done this in the past, but using a digital collage template is a great way to achieve that in traditional or hybrid scrapbooking!

I have an entire post over on the Lilypad blog about this layout and you can find that post HERE.  So I will just share highlights and pictures for you on this little blog!

Supplies: Digital Kit-Amber LaBau Designs (Cozy); Digital Photo Template-Paislee Press (Addendum|Collage Templates); Paper-Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Paper; Twine-May Arts; Doily-Hobby Lobby; Enamel Dots-Freckled Fawn; Adhesive-Therm O Web

The thing that drew me to this Paislee Press photo template was the fact there was a place for journaling and a title.  These are great for when you have a lot of similar pictures, but want to use them!

And I love mixing my traditional goodies with hybrid elements.  It's just a different creative process that mixes things up a little bit!

And I love Amber's handwritten elements.  I am not sure if it's her handwriting, but I wish I could write that pretty!

Well, that's all from me.  (It's Wednesday night and Criminal Minds plus Designated Survivor are getting ready to come on!)  Have a great Thursday!!!

Fall Leaves Home Decor With DecoFoil

I thought I would share this altered pallet I did for ThermOWeb.  I love fall decor, end of story!  I don't know if it's the colors, that the weather is getting cooler or what!  I just makes me happy.  And you know I love cooler weather, so I am sure that plays a part of it!

Supplies: Pattern Paper-Cocoa Vanilla Studio; Twine-May Arts; Adhesive, Toner Sheets, Decofoil-Therm O Web; Pallet-Jillibean Soup

I started by cutting a bunch of different shaped leaves out of my Silhouette.  I used three different shapes I think and I made all three the different colors of DecoFoil that I used.  I used a cut file from Juliana Michaels/17 Turtles that you can grab from HERE.  Love that cut file!

I put the pumpkin on first and then layered the leaves around it with the 3D foam adhesive squares.  The more the better for this project!

I used a couple of the new colors of DecoFoil that came out over the summer.  Emerald Watercolor and Amber Watercolor, along with the Pumpkin color.  Honestly, when I was doing this I was trying to figure out how to get the watercolor foils in the project, but then everything just came together.  I was over thinking!

I am hoping over the three day weekend to schedule some blog posts ahead.  I have more than a few projects to share.  A lot are hybrid, but there are some paper ones also!  Have a great Wednesday and thanks for stopping by!!!

Baby Girl-Amber LaBau Designs

So, you know I love Amber LaBau and her awesomeness!  Her new collection Brave New World is out at the Lilypad.  It is part of the BYOC and I fell in love with the colors as soon as I saw it.  One thing, it's a baby collection!

You know me and how I love to change things up, so I had to make a layout with it.  And there might be a little announcement along with that layout!

Supplies: Pattern papers, die cuts-Amber LaBau Designs; Paper-Epson; Adhesives-Therm O Web; Silhouette Cameo with print and cut feature; Doily-Unknown

Yep!  I am on the team as a hybrid girl.  I love her style and use of color so much, this is going to be a fun ride for the next year and a half!  AND I am floored by all the talent on the team.  Look these girls up, because they are amazing!!

So, let's see some close ups of the layout about Miss Ella and her cart!  I took these pictures pretty quickly after we got her cart.  She does love it, but she is a little on the "lazy" side, so no extra effort if she doesn't have to!!! This smile just melts my heart!

The saying was perfect for this page.  I created a cut file out of one of the elements from the kit and then just backed it with some paper.

And the feather paper with those colors.  I will be using that a lot I do believe!  Thanks for sharing in my happy news and for stopping by today.  I am at a work conference most of the week, so it will be a little quiet here, since I won't have a lot of time!  Luckily, close to home, just busy!!   Have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

Back to School Card-The LilyPad Blog

I shared this hybrid card over on the LilyPad blog a week or two ago.  You can find the post HERE, if you want some in depth details about how I did it!

For some reason, I am loving black card bases!  You will see, I have another one coming later in the month.  I think it's just because the colors pop on black.

Supplies: Digital Kit-LilyPad Collab (Wicked Smart); Cardstock-American Crafts; Twine-May Arts; Adhesive-Therm O Web; Silhouette Cameo; Paper-Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Paper; Chalk Paint.

That little owl was just too cute not to use!!!

I used chalk paint to mimic chalk dust on the blackboard!

That's all from me today.  Just a short and sweet post, kind of like the owl on the card!  Have a great day.

Using Digital Paint Elements in Hybrid Scrapbooking-The LilyPad

Did you know that you can use digital paint/masking elements on your pages?!  Even if you don't want to do a full blown hybrid layout, you can add a little to your pages in a few steps!

This hybrid layout is up over on the LilyPad blog today and you can see all the details HERE.   This layout also has new products by Etc. by Danyale and Scrapping with Liz in the shop along with a bunch of other goodies!

Supplies: Digital Kit, Paint Elements-Etc. by Danyale (Time Teller); Digital Template (Artsy Journal Templates 13)-Scrapping with Liz; Twine-May Arts; Doily-Hobby Lobby; Adhesive-ThermOWeb; Cardstock-American Crafts; Silhouette Cameo

Here are the three products I used from the store. I did flip the template, because it worked with my photo that I had already printed out before I had a plan!  Click on the pictures to go to the store!

Isn't that notebook paper cut fun?  And the splatters are perfect, without me making a mess!

The banner was so fun, I had to print it and use it.  I used the print and cut feature on the Silhouette with all the digital elements I used out of the kit and the template.

And another set of paint elements.  I used ivory cardstock and I love how soft they look on it.

That's all from me for this Friday!  Have a great weekend and I will be back with some more projects next week!

Corgis, Me and a Dino-A Flair for Buttons and Fancy Pants Designs

I love the three new Fancy Pants collections, but haven't gotten a chance to really really play with the two I picked up.  Well, after this past weekend, that is no more!  I did this layout for A Flair for Buttons blog that went up yesterday.

I needed a little boost and this sketch is up over on Paper Issues blog, so I decided to play along with it. I love how it turned out.  I didn't change much either, just kind of went with it.

Supplies-Pattern Paper, Die Cuts, Tags, Enamel Dots-Fancy Pants Designs; Doily-Doodlebug Designs; Letters-American Crafts, Fancy Pants; Flair-A Flair for Buttons; Punch-Martha Stewart; Enamel Paint Dots-Ranger; Adhesive-Therm O Web

I used a couple of sets of flair...Insta Fun and Best Summer Ever 2.  I like that you can mix the sets and they still look seamless together. This piece just fit right inside that camera die cut!

And the "insta cool" button was a no brainer for a picture of me with  the dogs AND a dinosaur!!!

And that's all from me for this Thursday!  Check back tomorrow, I might have another project up!   Have a great day!

What Stick

I was going thru projects to share and realized I hadn't shared my last layout that I did for The Cut Shoppe. I am not sure how I missed it, but I have a few projects backlogged, so that could be why!

I love the sun flare on these pictures of Sheldon!  I didn't realize I had caught it until after I snapped them. I used Shimelle and lots of Maya Road for this layout

Supplies: Pattern Paper, Washi Tape, Acrylic Butterfly, Stickers-American Crafts; Wood Token, Pin, Felt Flower, Kraft Tag, Ribbon-Maya Road; Cardstock-American Crafts; Doilies-Doodlebug Design; Adhesive-Therm O Web; Silhouette Cameo; Cut Files-The Cut Shoppe

Sigh....Maya Road just makes me sigh with happiness!!  I would have never believed that I would get to create with their products!  What a dream!

I backed the letter cut file with different color papers.  Trust me, try it, it's lots of fun and can give your layout different looks!

And just an update on me.  My finger is doing better, I can actually go without a bandaid at home (not in public...ick!).  And I am starting to feel like crafting more.  I cannot say it doesn't make me sad when I go to pick out pictures, because Higgins reminders are everywhere.  We miss him terribly, I am not going to deny it.  The others are getting into a routine...Ella picking on Jetson and Sheldon trying to boss everyone.  It's just a different routine.

That's it for me today folks!  Head back tomorrow, I might just have another project up!  Happy Wednesday!

Let's Go-Maya Road and Jillibean Soup

Popping in to post this layout that I had up over on the Maya Road blog.  If you want to see that post you can find it HERE.    I have details for all the fun stuff I added linked over there.  This is going to be short and sweet, well, you will see why at the end!

Supplies: Pattern Paper, Die Cuts-Jillibean Soup; Resin and Felt Flowers, Wooden Tokens, Kraft Tickets-Maya Road; Adhesive-Therm O Web; Punch-Martha Stewart

I love this Jillibean Soup collection, Mushroom Medley and I am running a little low on the embellishments for the collection, so Maya Road to the rescue!

And I had to throw a little pink in there, since my shirt was pink!

And the corner needed something!  Wood token to the rescue!

Now...here is what happened a week ago........

That would be me, with a sewing injury!  I sliced the tip of my finger off with a rotary cutter while cutting fabric out!  Of course, I did it at 8 pm, when my in network urgent care had just closed.  So after waiting about an hour to see if it would stop bleeding, we decided I needed to go somewhere. After calling to see how much it would be for me to got to the ER (200.00 just to walk in the door), I opted for an out of network urgent care that was still open.

The bonus for going to an out of network urgent care vs. in network ER...I was home within about an hour.  The dr. told us while he was working on my finger that someone had came in for stitches that had went to the ER.  They were told it was a 14 hour wait!  OMG....no way!!!

You are looking at 250.00 later!  They had to cauterize it to stop the bleeding and then put some kind of gel foam on it.  I am down to bandaids and gauze pads, but typing can be difficult and slow at times!

Tomorrow I will show you the picture of the cardigan that I have dubbed "The 300.00 cardigan" that I was making!  Have a great Thursday!

And what...a DOUBLE page layout?!  Yes, easy with a Scrapping with Liz template that is 50% off today only for the SOSN (something old something new) sale!  And the collections I used are part of the BYOC this month.

And the right side and a close up!  I added a piece here to the right side, just felt like I needed to!

I love this little library pocket.  I added the polka dot paper to the inside, but the green houndstooth print was in the digital kit I used from Allison Pennington.

So head over to the LilyPad blog and leave me a comment to let me know you stopped by.  And let me know what you want to see in hybrid projects.

Sleepy Boy-A Flair for Buttons

I was going thru projects that I hadn't posted on the little old blog here and I realized that I never posted this layout I did for "a flair for buttons".  Honestly,  I am in tears right now while writing this post, but this happens every time lately when I find something that has to do with Higgins. Damn, it's just hard.

Supplies: Patter Paper, Die Cuts-Mommish, One Little Bird; Template-FiddleDeeDee Designs; Flair-a flair for buttons; Adhesive-Therm O Web; Enamel Dots-Simple Stories;Doily-Doodlebug Designs; Wooden Letters-American Crafts; Silhouette Cameo with Software; Epson 1430 Printer; Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Paper

Higgins was so tired, but he was having so much fun at Nationals.  And yes, this is another hybrid layout.  I used a template from FiddleDeeDee Designs and then mostly Mommish digital items.  I love how this turned out.  All digital items can be found at The LilyPad store.

This little camera flair went perfectly with the colors in the collection!  Love that Shelley's flair works with just about everything I put it with!  And that folks, would be why I love it!

This one phrase was from One Little Bird.  Secret...I crush on Peppermint's sentiments/sayings in her kits.  I don't know if it's a font or her handwriting, but I love it!

Ok, that's all from me.  I can't really see the screen at this point.  I will be back later in the week.  Have a great Monday.  Hugs!

You Are My Person-Therm O Web and Fancy Pants Designs

Back today with a traditional layout that was up on the Therm O Web blog last week.  This one has a FULL sheet of DecoFoil as an accent!  It was an idea that I have had for awhile and just decided to go for it finally!

I used the new Fancy Pants Designs-Millie and June collection.  The foil accents were perfect to play off of the DecoFoil  And it's created by one of my favorite digital designers, Amber LaBau!

We had a "Take Your Dog to Work" day at work (well, bring them in at lunch and then take them home!) at the end of June.  My plan was to take Higgins, but sadly that was not possible.  Ella really wasn't up to it with her injury.  It was between Jetson or Sheldon and I decided it might be a good thing for Jetson to get out.  These pics I took in the car when I picked him up from the house. Don't ask how many I had to take to get this good one!  LOL

Supplies:  Pattern Paper, Die Cuts, Enamel Hearts-Fancy Pants Designs; Flair-a flair for buttons Etsy shoppe; Doily-Doodlebug Designs; Adhesive and Foil-Therm O Web

I decided to keep this layout pretty simple, just because of the "whee" factor of the full sheet of foil!  You can see details on how I did this layout over on the Therm O Web blog HERE.  I give a few tips on working with the full sheet of foam adhesive and the full sheet of foil.

Just a little journaling.  I am finding it really hard to journal now, hopefully that will come back over time.  I am just now getting to where I want to create and feel like I can.

Well, that's all from me this wonderful Thursday.  One more day to Friday and I am ready!  Have a great one.

Gotta Catch 'em All-The LilyPad Announcement and Scrapping with Liz

Even though I have been quiet, there has been a lot behind the scenes that happened in just the past week.  You know I love using Scrapping with Liz templates for hybrid projects and have found The LilyPad (TLP) a fun place to hang out. It reminds me of the days when I first found scrapping, message boards and Two Peas.  Except, I am the "hybrid" girl hanging out with all the digital girls!

Well, I was contacted by Laura, the site owner, to let me know that she had a spot for a hybrid team member and was I interested?  Well, heck yes!!  So, I am totally embracing my hybrid love and have become a Polly at the Pad!!

Here is my first page, for the August BYOC (Build Your Own Collection) which is on sale now thru Sunday Aug 7th.  Basically a buy more get more of a discount sale, but the designers all create with the same theme/colors in mind so you can have an entire huge collection that coordinates with different styles.

Other Hybrid Supplies
Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Paper
Therm O Web Adhesive
Silhouette Cameo
My Mind's Eye-Enamel Stickers

I love taking pictures with Carleen and the Pokemon Go creatures!

Print and Cut!  Gotta love it when it works right.  There are a few tricks that I will be sharing so that you get it right on the first try!

Carleen is such a good sport to put up with me and the Pokemon craze!  She even will drive me around to get balls at Pokestops!

That's all from me today and for the week.  Be back on Monday with something, just not sure what yet!!!  Have a great weekend!
