Do More of What Makes You Happy-3 Birds Design

Monday was NOT like we had planned at all.  We had planned to have a lounge day around the house, but then it started with AT&T checking the lines for the internet connection.  When the guy got here, Higgins injured his leg in all the commotion and we had to take him to the vet.  Chances are he has torn his other ACL on his back leg, but it's a wait and see thing for a week before we can be totally sure.  Here is hoping that we can do the crate rest remedy and not surgery.  BOO.

Today I am up over on the 3 Birds Design blog with an altered canvas using a quote.  You will need to head over there to check it out.  You can find the posting HERE.

But, I also did a layout using the same quote that the canvas had on it.  I challenged myself to use the some of the purple items in the Graceful Season's collection.  I don't scrap with purple much, but I loved how this turned out.  And isn't orchid the Panatone color of the year?!  LOL  Maybe we will see more!

Supplies: All supplies (pattern paper, chipboard, stickers, 6 x 6 mini pad)-3 Birds Design Graceful Season collection; Punch-Martha Stewart; Adhesives-Therm O Web

Silhouette with the following cut file:
Basic Grey Stems
Design ID 46747

I threw a little of the salmon colored paper in to offset and highlight the purple.  The branch stems were an after thought, but I love how they look with the butterflies.  Warning, the cut file is welded all the way, check the leaves at the bottom of the stem.  Luckily, I needed it shorter, so I just cut off the part that wasn't welded!

And here is the quote.  I love the pop of black on my pages lately, and i knew I had to do it on this one.   I did pop the quote up with some Therm O Web 3D foam squares just to add some dimension.
