Enjoy the View-Gossamer Blue December (again!)

Ok, so ONE MORE DAY and January is gone for 2014.  Which leads us to February, which happens to be one of my favorite months.  Although, it's too short!

Looks like we may be getting some more snow next week according to the weather.  I am ready for it…I am weird I know!  I have always loved snow and cold.  Most kids outgrow it, so maybe I am still a kid?!

Here is another layout with my December Gossamer Blue kit.  It seems like I am just posting GB things, but I am having to hold some other things that I have created for the time being.  There will definitely be some Valentine stuff coming to the blog in February from Authentique and Imaginisce!

Just a fun little cluster.  I wasn't sure what I would do with the arrowhead!  LOL

And yay!!!  It's Friday (or going to be soon!).  It's been a long week and I am ready for the weekend.  Home improvements/repairs on Carleen's end and a night of no sleep (for the girl that sleeps A LOT) has worn us out here.  Oh and let's not forget strangers, aka workmen, in the house.  Not fun for Jetson at all!  Have a great weekend!

Life is Wonderful-Gossamer Blue December Catch-Up

No, it cannot be the end of January.  WHERE has the month gone?  When you find it, please send it back to me, ok?!

Playing a little catch up here on the blog with my projects from my Gossamer Blue kit for December.  I have one more to share, but it will have to wait a bit.  Or until I get a blog posting done!

Just a picture of Higgins that I had in a frame on my desk at my previous job.  Needed some updating, considering how much of a puppy he was in this picture!  And back in the days of getting pictures printed in bulk, we usually always got two copies!

Gossamer Blue December Main Kit and Add On

Supplies in Kit:  Cardstock-American Crafts; Pattern Paper-Chic Tags (Happy Place Happy Thoughts *woodgrain and striped/woodgrain chevron), Webster's Pages (Recorded Heartfelt *teal polka dot and arrow/heart); Stickers-Webster's Pages (chevron arrow & label), Carta Bella (Wildflower *border strip & take more pictures); To Be Continued-Gossamer Blue; Banner-Basic Grey (RSVP)

Supplies not in kit:  Doily-Hobby Lobby; Pen-Sharpie; Adhesives-ThermOWeb

I loved these two stickers, so I found a way to incorporate them both in the same area.

I cut the banner in half and placed it on opposites sides, top to bottom.

So, what's on your agenda tonight/today?  I was going to scrap, but I got sucked into the couch.  Honestly, I don't know how that happens!!!  Until later in the week….

P.S. Tomorrow is my design team intro on the 3 Birds site!!  Come over and say hi!

Hello Little One with Therm O Web and Imaginisce

Things are supposed to slow down AFTER the holidays, right?   What the heck has happened?  I feel like I am going 90 to nothing all the time!

Today I am up over on the ThermOWeb Adhesives blog with this card.  There are a few step out photos on that post if you are interested in checking it out.  PLUS, there is a giveaway of the Glitter Dust Spray that I used on this card.  You can check out the posting and giveaway HERE.

The "My Baby" collection from Imaginisce went perfect with the gold Glitter Dust that I used.  This card came together fairly quickly by using the embellishments that are already in the collection.  Easy when everything coordinates.

Supplies: Pattern Paper-Imaginisce (My Baby Collection) Cardstock-WorldWin Papers, Button/Die Cut Title/Banner-Imaginisce (My Baby Collection); Glitter-Glitter Dust Spray in Gold (Therm O Web); Adhesives-Therm O Web; Twine and Ribbon-May Arts

Love how the glitter goes with the gold in the embellishments.

Here you can see the ribbon that I sprayed with the Glitter Dust also.

Thanks for stopping by today. I will have more to share later this week or weekend.  I have a TON of projects that I haven't posted yet!

Scrapbook Generation's CREATE Magazine is HERE!

It's finally here!  The release of Scrapbook Generation's CREATE, a free monthly digital magazine, goes live today! With over 200 pages of papercrafting goodness, the inaugural issue is packed with information and inspiration from talented scrapbookers and carmakers.

I am excited to get to participate in this new venture along with all the other fab gals!  Here is just a little sneak of something I have in the magazine!

CREATE January 2013 Issue

The magazine focuses on sketches -- providing four free layout, card, and tag sketches designed by Allison Davis and Debbie Sanders each month -- but there is so much more!

For January, the Fancy Pants design team has created 34 layouts, cards, and tags using the SG sketches.

CREATE magazine has its own talented design team that is featured in three segments: a color challenge, a sketch challenge, and an optional project challenge.

I have an article in there also!  I have to admit, I was a little nervous, but I think it turned out great.  Here is a sneak of one of the layouts for it

Allison Davis and her sketch expertise will show up in a variety of articles. The magazine also includes other inspirational articles and features related to scrapbooking, cardmaking, and paper crafting.

Head over to Scrapbook Generation's newly expanded online store and check out the first issue of CREATE. It's free, and it's fabulous!

Go Your Own Way-Imaginisce Fun

So, I have the new Imaginisce papers that I love, but I didn't want to cut them!  I finally dove into the "Perfect Vacation" collection and went to work!

With four dogs, it's always a challenge to get them to all look at you.  I actually had no idea I had gotten this picture and when I saw it, I knew it would be a cute one to scrap.  Jetson just looks so darn happy here!!

Supplies:  Pattern Papers-Imaginisce (Perfect Vacation and Sweet Baby Boy); Cardstock-American Crafts; Journaling Tag-Imaginisce (Perfect Vacation); Stamp-Imaginisce (Perfect Vacation); Buttons-Imaginisce (Sweet Baby Boy); Bling-Imaginisce (Perfect Vacation); Twine-May Arts; Letters-American Crafts; Font-Delikatesitant; Ink-Memento; Adhesive-Therm O Web; Die Cutting-Silhouette Cameo

This compass stamp was so cute, I had to use it somewhere on my layout.  I started to put it down around the picture, but then I thought it made a great anchor for the banners.

These little banners stacked perfectly and I just added some foam square from Therm O Web underneath them to stack them up.  I used the Therm O Web Zots in Medium to adhere all the buttons.  They were the perfect size!

That's all for today!  I hope I made you want to scrap those "not so perfect" photos!  Or those ones that you don't realize you have even taken.  Have a groovy and fun day!

Catch up on Gossamer Blue Layouts

Ok, so because I took the "blogging" break, I have a few projects to share!  I thought I would share a couple of layouts in one post that I did using my Gossamer Blue kits

This first one is the last layout with my November 2013 kit.  And once again, a picture I have printed for awhile and could not commit it to a layout.  I honestly think it is because the tint of the picture is yellow and I just had a hard time finding anything that would work.  I am just going to throw it out there, this isn't one of my favorite layouts.  There I said it and I am just going to go ahead and post it!

Supplies:  Pattern Paper-Gossamer Blue ( in the zone the plus side. *green backing #love this and polka dot multi/ on the dot *yellow polka dot and #lovethis), Heidi Swapp (Mixed Company Bouquet *blue flowers), Glitz(Wild and Free Wild and Free Arrows *pink/orange layer), Crate Paper (Flea Market Jenna *pink blue roses/grey and white polka dot paper), American Crafts(Polka Dot Party Dazzling Decor *background); Wooden Arrow-American Crafts; Resin Flowers-Crate Paper (Flea Market); Letters-American Crafts Thickers; Cut File

Supplies not in kit:  Twine-May Arts; Adhesive-Therm O Web; Punch-EK Success; Pen-Sharpie and Silhouette Sketch Pen

Close up of the cut file that came with the kit.  I used the Sil. sketch pen on it with a fill.  I think this is the part that I am not sure about!

Loved those little resin flowers!

And now here is one with my December kit.  We cleaned out some picture frames and this picture of Ella was in one of them.  I actually scrapped a couple that came out of the frames, but I will show the other one later!

Supplies:  Pattern Paper-Websters Pages (Recorded-Flashback *background), Gossamer Blue (Life Pages Cards-Smile. Hearts, Grid, Quote); Banner-Basic Grey (RSVP); Tape Strip-Basic Grey (RSVP); Buttons-Basic Grey Basics; Sticker-Carta Bella (Wildflower *flower sticker)
Supplies not in Kit: Pen-Sharpie; Adhesives-Therm O Web

Ella just loves to sit in the yard and look around.  She has done this since she was a puppy.

I love that the banner was two-sided.  Since I wasn't doing any party themed layouts, it worked out well!

So see, I have been doing something when I wasn't blogging!  LOL  I will be back later in the week with a couple more projects.  Heading to a crop this weekend and oh my, do I need to pack?!  Have a great Monday!

A Wintery Day in December with Imaginisce Scraps

Make a project with scraps (aka leftovers)?  I usually throw my scraps away.  ACK the horror!  But now that I have done it, I think I may do it more often.

This is my first "official" project for Imaginisce and I had so much fun making it.  It was up over on the Imaginisce blog yesterday.  You can find that post HERE if you like!

Supplies:  Pattern Paper-Imaginisce (Colors of Christmas and Bushel O'Fall); Cardstock-American Crafts; Die Cuts-Imaginisce (Colors of Christmas); Adhesive-Therm O Web

Silhouette Cameo with the following files:
December 2013 Title
Design ID #52023

Design ID #27404

This title was perfect, because this was the first snow fall of the winter and it happened in December!

Just a shot of the cluster up in the corner!

Thanks for stopping by today.  I think I have a whole new outlook on those leftover scraps!!

Dog Tired with Gossamer Blue

That is about how I have felt lately…dog tired!  Combination of the holidays, starting my new position at work and just the rush of everything.  Sadly, it has made me neglect the little blog here.  Mainly because I am not that chatty.  I have been creating like crazy, but just haven't gotten around to editing pictures or posting anything!

Changing that right now though.  Here is a layout with my November Gossamer Blue kit.  I still have one more to share with it after this one.  I have had this picture printed for awhile, but didn't like the yellow cast it had to it.  Decided just to scrap it and get it on a layout.

Gossamer Blue November Main Kit with Paper Add-On

Pattern Paper:  Gossamer Blue(on the dot *houndstooth background/on the plus side *Green pluses and colored dots), Glitz (Wild and Free-Wild and Free Small Hearts *mutli hearts), Heidi Swapp (Mixed Company-Bouquet *blue flowers), American Crafts (Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party *grey woodgrain and grey white stripes and blk wht polka dot), Crate Paper (Flea Market-Open Air *bokeh hearts); Wood Veneer-American Crafts;  Resin Flower-Crate Paper (Flea Market); Letters-American Crafts (blue glitter); Rub-Ons-Heidi Swapp (Mixed Company)

Not in Kit:  Punch-Martha Stewart; Letters-American Crafts (pink); Adhesives-Therm O Web

Funny thing about this Scottie dog wood veneer.  I kept trying to give it away when I was at the last crop I went to!  I kept saying that it isn't a Corgi.  I decided what the heck, let's throw it on there!

Just another detail shot.  I love the fact I caught them snuggling up and sleeping like this.

Hoping to get back into the groove of blogging on a regular basis.  I am actually really missing it.  And I am going to make a point to get out in blogland more this year.  I admit, I don't get around to everyone's blogs much and it makes me a little sad.

I will be back on Thursday!

Happy New Year with my DT Intro for Imaginisce

I hope everyone had a safe and fun New Year's Eve. I have to admit, I think 2014 is going to be a great year. And I cannot think of a better way to kick it off than with my DT Intro over on the Imaginisce blog today!

Supplies:  Pattern Paper-Imaginisce (Bushel of Fun/Colors of Christmas); Die Cuts-Imaginisce (Bushel of Fun); Doily-Hobby Lobby; Twine-American Crafts; Pen-Sharpie; Adhesive-Therm O Web; Punch-EK Success

I thought the journaling on the banner pennants, paired with the title die cut, would be perfect at the bottom of my photo where I needed something to go.

I am starting to combine die cuts more for a cluster look and these two worked well with the doily.  (and yes, I think I love doilies!)

And I know the blog has been a little quiet!  I have been busy learning my new position at work, taking care of the holidays and then time just snuck away for the blog.  I HAVE been busy creating, just not sharing, so there will be lots of that coming up!
