Awesome Boy Trio? Why yes, we have one!

I love a good outing with some great pictures!  It totally gets me in a scrapping mood and a more creative one also.

This picture of the boys is from our park outing.  From L-R Jetson, Sheldon, and Higgins.  And yes, Sheldon's tongue is really that long!

Supplies: Pattern Paper-American Crafts (Ready, Set, Go); Die Cuts/Stickers-American Crafts (Ready Set Go); Letters-American Crafts; Adhesive-Scotch ATG, Martha Stewart Glue Pen, and Glue Dots

Silhouette Cameo with the following cut files:
Design ID# 31282

Design ID# 37815

Hand journaling on this layout...and it's pretty small since the tag was small!

Just a close up of the title that I placed on the oversized photo.  Love those green letters!  Those diamonds are actually circles that are folded on each side.  The Cameo made it easy to do because it scored each side of them!  I was going to line them up square, but then I happened to make a few crooked when I hit them and liked the way it looked.  Happy mistake!

Okie dokie, I am blogged out!  Catch you tomorrow and thanks for stopping by!

Mix Your Manual Die Cutter with your Electric One!

As I sit here writing this on Sunday night, I am just remembering what a great weekend it was. We had a lot of fun just running some errands, lounging and taking the dogs to the park on Saturday.  We hadn't taken them for a while, so it was quite a treat for everyone.

Of course a great weekend usually involves some scrapping in there.  I got a couple of layouts done and a few pictures edited and ready to go on pages.  The picture on this layout is from our park trip.

As I started this page below, I decided to mix up my Cameo cuts with some dies and stamps from Laina Lamb Designs.  I usually just do "one or the other" but why not mix them up on a layout?  Very easy and pretty fun to do also!  Now....I just need some more dies for my Cuttlebug!

Supplies:  Pattern Paper-Pebbles (Seen and Noted); Cardstock-American Crafts; Stamps-Laina Lamb Designs (Days and Dates); Dies-Laina Lamb Designs (Calendar Components); Punch-EK Success; Flair-{a flair for buttons}; Button-American Crafts; Twine-May Arts; Wooden Letters-Studio Calico; Font-Handwriting Dakota; Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives; Ink-Jenni Bowlin for Ranger (Weather Vane) & Memento; Embossing Powder-American Crafts Zing (White); Paper Clip-American Crafts

Silhouette Cameo with the following files:
Design ID#  26018

Design ID# 6574

I stamped the grey banner first and then embossed the phrase in white over it.  Then I thought the stamps would look cute out to the side. I cut the 365 out of my Cameo and then added Laina's manual die cut hearts from her Calendar Components set.

Backed the opening of the heart with the striped paper and then I had to add a little "flair" to the page.  The "weekend" from Laina's stamp set, Days and Dates.  LOTS of goodies in that stamp set!

And if you want to know just how tired the pups were after the outing, this picture is worth a 1000 words!  Sheldon, Ella and Jetson passed out on the bed!  Higgins was with me while I was scrapping.

Have a great Monday!

Look At Us-Gossamer Blue #4

This is technically my fourth layout with my Jan. Gossamer Blue kit, but I can't show the other one until later!

Totally out of my comfort zone and norm for me, but I like the way it turned out.  I still have a few "signature" touches, like some flair and some twine, but other than that I tried to mix it up!

January Gossamer Blue Main Kit and Pattern Paper Add On

Supplies:  Pattern Paper-October Afternoon (Farm Girl *Pie Tin ), My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found 3 *Collage Stripe), Studio Calico (Darling Dear *Vandyke *Monroe), Teresa Collins (Now & Then *Floral); Tags-October Afternoon Tidbits (Farm Girl); Stickers-October Afternoon; Chipboard-Studio Calico; Enamel Dots/Buttons-Teresa Collins; Cardstock-Bazzill;

Silhouette Cameo with the following file:

Design ID# 6974

Close up of the flair and misting (or dotting!).  So fun to stack the flair on stickers!

Close up of that vine and title work.  I am trying to remember to layer stickers also!

Ok, I am probably out of here until Monday!  Have a wonderful weekend and get some creating done!

Celebrate Every Sunset with Jillibean and Laina Lamb Designs

I lied!  I said I would be back today with a layout totally out of my norm, but I was talking about a different layout!

This layout drove me absolutely insane over the weekend.  I had to just let it sit for a day to figure out what to do with it.  I started with a sketch from Jillibean that is up now, but I totally did not stay with it and do not feel it is even in the sketch catagory for the layout contest!  I guess I will be making another!

I had fun playing with the dies and stamps that are from Laina Lamb Designs on this layout also.  I have close ups below!
Supplies:  Pattern Paper-Jillibean Soup (Country Pumpkin Chower/Grandmas Lima Bean/Soup Staples II); Arrows-Jillibean Soup; Letters-Jillibean Soup (Country Pumpkin Chowder/Chipboard Set/Grandma's Lima Bean Soup); Dies-Laina Lamb Designs (Story Starters/Calendar Components); Stamps-Laina Lamb Designs (Days and Dates); Adhesive: Xyron; Flair-{a flair for buttons} Etsy Shop; Twine-May Arts; Cardstock-American Crafts; Stapler-Tiny Attacher

Close up of the heart from the Calendar Components set and then the Story Starters "true story" die

Close up of the Days and Dates stamps...LOVE these!  And then my journaling, which I am working on!

And the fun flair of course!  Addicted and love it!

Ok, I will be back on Thursday with the "out of the norm" layout!  I promise!!

Project 12-December is Done!

One month down, 11 to go!  For those of you wondering, Project 12 is just a recap of the month. It's like Project Life, only smaller!   I always have a ton of pics (and will have more now that I have a good camera phone) that never get scrapped onto a page. There is no way I could even fool myself that I would keep up with Project Life, so I am doing Project 12 instead!  I am using up my leftovers from my Gossamer Blue kits and then random things I have around.

From now on, I will basically just post the pictures of my double page spread and nothing else.  My future pages will be different than these first ones, these were just practice and I didn't think them through!

The cover

The December Two Page Spread

First Page and Details

The second page and details

This was really fun to do for something different.  It does make me have to think though!!  Have a wonderful weekend.

May The Spirit-Jillibean Soup Card

Forgot to share a couple of postings from my Jillibean Guest Design in December, so I am throwing them in this week!!!

This card was the first card I made when I started my cardmaking process for my guest design.  I was inspired by those door banners with the big bells that you hang around the holidays!

Supplies:
Jillibean Soup
Pattern Paper: Winter Tortellini and Spinach Soup/Cheese Tortellini/Garlic Flakes/Frozen Peas
Pea Pod Parts:  Winter Tortellini and Spinach Soup

Other Supplies:  Cardbase (Paper Studio); Border Punch (EK Success); Adhesives (Scotch, Fabri-Tac, and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L); Ribbon-Unknown; Jingle Bells

Close up of the jingle bells!

I think this one would go thru the mail ok.  Those bells are small and not a lot of bulk to them.  I always wonder if my cards will hold up going thru the mail.  Not to mention, that I always make odd size cards, so they don't fit into an envelope!

Project 12 and some fun news!

Ok, here is my declaration and a way to keep me doing it!  I decided I am doing Project 12.   I actually had thought about doing it last year, but didn't even start.  Well, with a little push from the Gossamer Blue blog, I decided I CAN do this.  And it might help, since I now have a cell phone that will take decent pictures!

Here is my cover, please pardon the pic.  I took it quickly, at night, and wasn't too worried about how it came out.  I am going to do a two page spread per month and already have Dec. pictures printed, just need to make the pictures pretty.  I also will change how I do the following months, because after looking at some spreads, I decided I wanted to spruce my pages up more.

Note:  I will not be adding supply listings like I do for my other projects.  I am planning on using up pieces and bits left over from things and it will just be too hard to keep track of.  I am planning on basically using stuff from my Gossamer Blue kits that I have left over!

And for my fun news!  I was asked to be a part of the 2013 WorldWin Design Team.  So, be watching for me to start posting projects with lots of card stock, die cutting and misting!

That is it for me today (aka Tuesday night!).  Hope your Wednesday is great and remember, it's only two more sleeps until Friday!!!

I love to make sure that I get my four layouts done with my Gossamer Blue kits each month.  I think that album is just the push I need at times!

Here's a layout with a road trip picture.  I love snapping pics in the car.  Sometimes they aren't the best, but sometimes they turn out pretty cute.

Sketch Challenge at Gossamer Blue

My mojo has been a little on the fritz lately.  Not sure why, but I have NO ideas/motivation coming to my crafty little brain.  So, when Gossamer Blue posted a sketch I decided that I would try it to get something crafty going on.

The sketch is by a club member, Valerie Huang, and you can find it HERE.  So, here is my take on it.  The photos were taken on my iPad2 so the quality isn't great, but they were so cute and perfect to scrap!

January Gossamer Blue Main Kit and Pattern Paper Add On

Supplies:  Pattern Paper-October Afternoon (Midway *Duck Pond & Farm Girl *Almanac), Teresa Collins (Now and Then *Woodgrain), My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found 3 *Oliver), Studio Calico (Darling Dear *Vandyke *Monroe); Cardstock-American Crafts; Tags-October Afternoon Tidbits (Farm Girl)

Supplies not in kit:  Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives; Punch-American Crafts; Twine-May Arts; Journaling Font-Simplicity (dafont.com)

Silhouette Cameo with a file I made

I made this title file...I am hoping to get to where I can give away files that I create on here!

I am really going to work on journaling more on my pages.  It might be short, but it will be more than just nothing on there!

I think you have until January 18th to play along with the sketch!  Heck, I may try to do another one!  Have a great "rest of the weekend" and I will be back probably on Tuesday!

Fortunes 2013-Playing with Basically Bare

Here is my project that went live yesterday over on the Basically Bare blog.  BTW, if you haven't heard Basically Bare has been bought by Art Anthology!!  What a perfect pairing-fun to alter pieces with fun stuff to alter with!

As usual, I am not going to go into a lot of detail here.  But, you can head over to the Basically Bare blog and get the low down on what I did to create my layout.

Supplies:  Pattern Paper-Bella Blvd, Echo Park, My Mind's Eye, October Afternoon, Simple Stories; Chipboard-Basically Bare; Mists & Paints-Art Anthology; Gesso; Letters-American Crafts Thickers; Die Cut Journaling Spot-October Afternoon; Doily-Wilton; Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri-Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives; Ribbon-May Arts

Haha, my fingerprint is in the paint!

In LOVE with the camera.  The Trolley Grey paint makes it pop and sparkle!

And I think I am going to like having my new phone!  I can take a halfway decent picture anywhere now!  Thanks for stopping by today.

Bowl w/Perfect Form-Gossamer Blue Dec #2

I  have a ton of pictures from the girls trip to visit us that I have not even printed out to scrap yet.  Ekk!  I did love this sequence of pictures that I took of L. and thought they would look great in a collage.  We were teasing her about her ballerina form when she was bowling!

This is all from the Gossamer Blue December kit with just a doily and some cardstock from my stash thrown in.  I truly wouldn't have put these papers together on my own, but love the way they worked!

Supplies in Kit: Pattern Paper-Simple Stories (Snap-Polariods), American Crafts (To Do List), Pebbles (Walnut Grove), Crate Paper (Couture & Style), KI Memories (Timeline);  Stickers-Simple Stories (Fundamentals, Typeset, Letters); Tag-American Crafts)

Supplies not in Kit: Adhesive-Scotch ATG, Scrapbook Adhesives and Fabri Tac; Pen-Zig; Punch-EK Success; Letters-American Crafts Thickers; Collage Template-Kerri Bradford

Silhouette with following cut file
Design ID#21140

I just cut the word off of the frame so that I could use it on my collage.

Loved this cutting file to go with the layout!

That is all from me today!  I will be back on Friday with a Basically Bare project.

Smile and Live Life-Gossamber Blue #4

Wahh, I really don't want it to be Monday yet, but here it is!  I got spoiled with those four day weekends the past couple of weeks.  But it is good to get back into a routine of sorts and get settled.  Although, here lately there is not a lot that is routine or settled.

This was my first layout for 2013 and my fourth with my Dec. Gossamer Blue kit..  I wanted it to be my last layout for 2012, but the cold won over scrapping on New Year's Eve.  I ended up spending the night with Vick's and Puffs!  Oh and Cake Boss on Netflix.

Supplies in Kit: Pattern Paper-Simple Stories (Snap-Polariods), American Crafts (Ready Set Go), Crate Paper (Couture & Style), KI Memories (Timeline);  Stickers-Simple Stories (Fundamentals, Typeset)

Supplies not in Kit:  Adhesive-Scotch ATG, Scrapbook Adhesives and Fabri Tac; Punch-Fiskars; Stamps/Dies-Laina Lamb Designs (available at My Favorite Things); Ink-Staz-on in Teal

Here is close up of one of the stamps and dies that Laina sent for me to work with.  I love these words and they cut so cleanly.  When I did this one the "E" just didn't fall out and I liked the way it looked so I left it.  I used a stamp from the Days and Dates set to anchor my pennant. Observations is from Story Starters set.

A RARE shot of my goofy face.  I swear, I need a picture retake 100 times to get one that I like.  I wasn't "really" happy with this one when it was shot, but it has actually grown on me some.  And this made me realize that my stylist needed to get my hair back to the darker auburn shade I had been wearing!  The date is also from Laina's Days and Dates set.  Love that you can mix and match them up.

Christmas Card 2012 w/Carta Bella

Well, I think I am going to go back to photographing my layouts like the one below.  Who knows, I might switch it up again, but I think I like the way they look better this way.

I got the idea to scrap our Christmas card from Nikki Sivils.  She scraps hers every year, so I thought it would be fun to start.  We actually have two different cards, but this was the "pro" one so it got top billing on the scrapping front.

Supplies:  Pattern Paper-Carta Bella (Winter Fun); Stickers-Carta Bella (Winter Fun); Flair-JC Penny; Twine-The Twinery Baker's Twine; Doily-Wilton; Memories Tag-Elle's Studio; Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri-Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives

Photo Card Picture taken by April Turner from UTurn Studios

Just layered those trees on top of that banner strip and then added the little flair button.

Just the title work, I wanted to use that little swirl somewhere.
