Love These 2

Allergy season anyone?  Ugh, I am so tired by the time I get off work I don't want to do anything.  I think it is from allergies.  Although, I keep telling Carleen "I don't HAVE allergies!"  She just gives me the look!

Up today with a layout using one of the new Kate & Co. collections from My Mind's Eye.  I love the blue/green/yellow combo in the collection.  The look Sheldon is giving Carleen is priceless.

Supplies:  Pattern Paper, Stickers, Chipboard, Enamel Dots-My Mind's Eye (Kate & Co. Oxford Lane);  Twine-May Arts (jute) & The Twinery (denim/white); Flair-The Paper Bakery (Flash Photography Set); Adhesive-Scotch, Scrapbook Adhesives, Fabri Tac; Doily-Wilton; Letters-American Crafts (love), Simple Stories (these), Jillibean Soup (2)

I thought it would be fun to combine some jute with The Twinery baker's twine for a fun little bow under my flair piece.  This is just a shipping tag that I covered and embellished.

I played off the jute twine and used a Jillibean Soup corrugated cardboard 2 for part of my title.  It breaks the color scheme up and goes great with the fence in the picture.

Well, that's all for today!  I still have a few boxes from my Grab Box sale.  You can find more details on THIS POST.

I Love You 365-GCD Studios

Sharing my layout that was up on the GCD Studios blog yesterday.  I totally had so much fun making this layout!

The inspiration from this layout came from a Pinterest image, which can be found HERE.

Supplies:  Pattern Paper- GCD Studios Nostalgia Collection, Cardstock-WorldWin; Glitter Epoxy Dots-GCD Studios Happiness Collection; Doily-Wilton; Flair-The Paper Bakery; Ink-Prima Chalk Ink; Sewing Machine; Adhesives-Scotch ATG and Scrapbook Adhesives.

Silhouette Cameo with the following cut files
Design ID# 36594
Design ID# 8851
Cloud Cutout
Design ID#27594
Design ID#40184
Design ID# 38570

I added some accent to my cloud die cut.

I stitched my leaves before adding them to my layout, which made sure that I could change where I had them placed until I liked the look of them.  And trust me, I moved them around A LOT!

I didn't have a lot of room for a title so I used that blank space in my picture to put it on there!  I also used my WorldWin Petallics cardstock for my title.  It has a subtle shimmer to it.

Whew, that seems like it was a long post!  I think it was all the Silhouette files I linked!  Have a GREAT day!

A Vellum Envelope Tutorial for The Paper Bakery

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend if you are here in the US. We did not do much of anything but hang around the house and clean out some things.  The dogs were (and still are!) exhausted from us being home.

When I first saw filled vellum envelopes, I will admit, they baffled me a little.  But then, after I figured out how easy they are I had to laugh!  I had a little tutorial up over on The Paper Bakery blog this week (using the Glitz Roadshow kit for May) and wanted to share it here in case you didn't see it over there.

Supplies: Vellum-Studio Calico (Sundrifter collection); Pattern Paper: Crate Paper (Maggie Holmes *Remember This-DIY Shop *Project)), Lily Bee Design (Destination *Souvenir-Pinwheel *Kite Strings),  Tag-Crate Paper-DIY Shop Ephemera; Twine-May Arts; Adhesive-Scotch ATG; Punches-Martha Stewart & Ephiany Crafts

Silhouette Cameo with the following cut file:
Amy Tan Mini Envelope
Design ID# 38472

I cut out the Silhouette file for the envelope.  BUT you can find templates for envelopes online that you can hand cut if you just do a search!  Keep it small, if you print something out to hand cut, you may have to shrink it down.  This is embellishment sized.

Assembly your envelope.  I used my ATG gun and you really cannot see the adhesive under the vellum.  Or you could use vellum adhesive, I just didn't have any handy (read...that I could find!)

Punch out a variety of small things out of different pattern papers.  I just did some butterflies and circles.  Great way to use up those odds and ends of paper.

I then just closed up my envelope and added the ticket and twine.  Now, I need to figure out what to use this on.  This would also be cute sized for a project life pocket!

And in case you didn't see it I have a grab box sale going on.  Here is the link to the post:  SALE

In other news, I put on a pair of shorts to go out around town in and they were loose!  This was the first time I had put on shorts for the season, except around the house comfy shorts.  I guess the no Dr. Pepper is working, because I am not really doing anything else!  Or maybe it is the fact that I am not quite as stressed as I used to be...either way, it works!

Grab Box Sale!!!

So, I spent the better part of my holiday weekend purging thru all my supplies!  Yes, this took the better part of two days and Carleen was such a sweetie and helped me!!

So I have a limited number of boxes available, first come first serve.  These will contain more than 50 full sheets of double sided papers.  The only exception is some Core'dinations Cardstock (designer type/Cosmo Cricket Jenni Bowlin), Basic Grey that were one sided when I bought them, and some Sassafrass!

Each box will also contain a variety of chipboard, stickers, letter stickers, embellishments, trinkets, etc.  All boxes have at least 3 mists or paints (or both and more).

Paper companies include: Echo Park, Jillibean Soup, Nikki Sivils, Authentique, Bo Bunny, Cosmo Cricket, Basic Grey, Bella Blvd, Little Yellow Bicycle and some I can't remember!  These ARE older collections, I just wanted to let you know.  BUT not extremely old...I just started scrapping in late 2009!

Note: Some items are new and some may be slightly used (stamps/mists/sticker sheets/etc).

Here is a look inside one of the boxes.  These are STUFFED, I cannot get anything else into them.  I tried!

I am selling these for 40.00 which includes shipping (sorry, US only).

Coming Home Day-Gossamer Blue Sketch

First of all, all my new followers, you girls are too sweet!  You made my night last night!!  I will be checking to make sure I am following your blogs.

Quick post this morning!  I wanted to share my layout using the Gossamer Blue sketch that is up and ends today.  Nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh?!

These pictures were taken the day we went to get Sheldon from Laura's house.  We were sitting around visiting and he fell asleep in my lap!

Supplies:  I will list these later!  There is lots of Jillibean Soup in there though!

I thought the "pack your bags" sticker was appropriate!

I decided to put my title on the envelope because it looked cute!  AND those "leaf branches" at the top of the photo didn't turn out quite the way I envisioned, so I made them work!

Uh, quickest blog post ever.  This was definitely speed blogging, not quite like speed dating, but it worked!!  Have a GREAT Friday and I may be back over the weekend.  That is if I can get out of my scrappy area from my purging!!!

A "Project" Card Box-The Paper Bakery

This little goodie was up over on The Paper Bakery blog yesterday.  I am hoping that it will give me the jump start that I need to get caught up on my Project 12 album.  This is sized for 3 x 4 cards.  I think I am going to precut some cute ones on my Cameo to have them on hand.  This is a great place to store them, so I can just grab this and start looking thru.  I am also going to put in random extras that I have left over out of embellishment packs to get them used up also!

The Paper Bakery May Kit "Glitz Roadshow"

Supplies in kit:  Pattern Paper-LilyBee Design (Destination-*Souvenior/blue flowers/brown with white scallops, Pinwheel-*Kite Strings/green and white), Crate Paper (DIY-*Project/today and number paper),   Studio Calico-(Sundrifter-*DreamWeaver/taupe and red & white graph); Letter Stickers-Studio Calico; Flair-The Paper Bakery (exclusive to the kit)

Haven't decided what I want to put on the tag!

Close up of that cute flair!

Just a picture of the top of the cards.  There are tabbed file cards to separate your cards out.

And this is pretty easy to put together also.  Which I LOVE!  I have had a few "altered" cut out files that I could not figure out for the life of me!

Hope you have a wonderful day.  I am definitely ready for the weekend!

Photographer @ Work-Playing with a Large Photo

So, a couple of weeks ago we went and got our pictures taken.  Our photographer, April, was nice enough to let me take behind the scenes pictures.

As soon as I look at this one, I knew I wanted it to be BIG on the layout.  And the black and white just gave it a feel that I loved.

And I am in love with this collection from Webster's Pages.  I love the fresh, fun  vibe of it.  And I hardly used any paper at all!

Supplies:  Pattern Paper-Webster's Pages (Composition and Color/Sweet Notes); Memo/Camera/Banner/Letter Stickers-Webster's Pages (Composition and Color); Washi Tape-Webster's Pages (Composition and Color); Cardstock-WorldWin Paper; Letters-American Crafts Thickers; Grey Letter Stickers-Jillibean Soup; Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

I am going to admit that the word "photographer" took me forever to get just the way I wanted it!

This layout all started because of this tag!  Oh and maybe that camera paper!

Tomorrow I will have a fun little project for The Paper Bakery, so stop back by!

Twinkies @ Work for The Paper Bakery

Sharing a layout I did with the May kit from The Paper Bakery.  There are so many fun papers in the collection it was hard to decide what I wanted to cut and what not to cut!  Since Amy and I were both wearing pink, I though the layout deserved the fun doily paper as the background!

We took this one day when we were out delivering meals.  Amy (the intern) is now officially done with her internship and I miss her bunches.  So happy that she is graduating and knows what she wants to do!

The Paper Bakery May Kit "Glitz Roadshow"

Close up of that fun flower and house card.  I cut that in half to stretch out my supplies!

Number cut file that is exclusive to The Paper Bakery kit.  It's designed by Laina Lamb.

Just a close up of the journaling.

Make sure and come back tomorrow.  I will be playing around with a LARGE photo on a layout!

The Puppy in the Corner-Gossamer Blue April #4

Back today to share my 4th Gossamer Blue layout for April here on the blog.  I pretty much destroyed the kit and there isn't much left of it!

This look, this sweet look, is what made me fall in love with Sheldon.  I took this picture not too long after we got to the puppy party.  And he stayed in this spot for most of the time, just sleeping!  I went over and woke him up to play with him.

Gossamer Blue April 2013 Main Kit

Supplies in the kit:
Cardstock-American Crafts (Denim); Pattern Paper-American Crafts (Amy Tan Yes, Please Priority-*blue dot and pink/salmon striped, Currently-*pink dot/be playful tag/flower tag, Hopeful-chevron rainbow strip, Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm-Wild Hearts *stripes/yellow hearts in paws/), Crate Paper (DIY *Crafty-red chevron); Flair-American Crafts (Dear Lizzy); Fabric Frame-Crate Paper (Maggie Holmes); Journaling Tag-Studio Calico (Sundrifter);  Stickers-Studio Calico (Sundrifter *love *hello *green dot under flair)

Supplies not in kit: Vellum-American Crafts (Lucky You); Doily-Wilton; Letter Stickers-October Afternoon (mint green); Letters-American Crafts Thickers (pink, yellow, white); Washi Tape (yellow)-Bella Blvd; Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri Tac and 3L Scrapbook Adhesives; Stapler-Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; Punch-EK Success

Silhouette Cameo with the following cut files:

Imaginisce Dog Accessories (paws)
Design ID# 40751

Assorted Hearts Set
Design ID# 24556

I got a little tired of using the frames, so I just cut one of them up.  There are 12 in the pack, which is nice, but I was done with them!

Just a close up of the journaling and the title work.  I made the speech bubble work!

I have to admit, I have really been scrapping some random pictures that I have found.  Most of them I already had printed out a long time ago.

Well, that's all for today!  Hope you like baby Sheldon's picture!

Sheldon is Growing Up-A Paper Bakery Project

I forgot that I had not shared this layout with The Paper Bakery April kit-Lemonade Stand yet!  I used the digital files in the kit to create my background for the layout.  I just resized in Photoshop Elements and then printed out on 8.5 x 11 sheet of cardstock!  Love this background and thought it was perfect for these pictures that show how Sheldon has changed!

I love that pink geotag flair!  It is from the "Oh Happy Day" set!

I didn't realize it, but I have used this "moments" die cut twice now on two different layouts!  This flair is from the "Elle's Studio Mash-Up" set.

So remember, you can use those digital printables for a fun and unique background.  Plus you get more mileage out of them that way!  Have a great day!

This is Me Gossamer Blue #3

Just a quick update today.  I am hitting the bed early, but I wanted to get this post scheduled.  This is my third layout with my Gossamer Blue kit from April.  I went with the greens and yellows in the kit.

I don't rock a hat often, but one snowy Friday I decided to wear one to work.  I had to take a selfie, because it was snowing and I had a hat on!  (I won't mention how many times I took this!)

Close up of those chunky glitter letters.  Glitter is so NOT me, but I wanted to make it work!

That's all from me today!  I am hoping to be back tomorrow, but I will just have to see how much I get done.  My time management skills are in the toilet right now for some reason!  Have a great day!
