The Past Year and Awesome Snuggles with Gossamer Blue

If you will give me a moment to reflect on the past year or so, a lot has happened. Some of this I have not blogged about for various reasons.  I just haven't felt like it or wanted to until now.
  • Lost my job after 18 (almost 19) years.  MUCH for the good. I lost myself for quite a few of those years.  And you don't realize it until you are out of it.
  • Thought I could never stay at home, but maybe I could. I still think I would go stir crazy!
  • A new job that I would not have considered before, but I ended up loving it!  And have been promoted a couple of times in the year I have been there.
  • You find out who are the people that are truly in your life and those that are just fleeting.
  • Had some AMAZING opprotunities that I wouldn't never have dreamed of by scrapbooking.
  • Sometimes an iOS update will fry your iPad!  LOL LOL
  • The most important is that everything will always be ok.  (still have trouble with this one!)
So, that's out of the way!  It was just kind of one of those things that I wanted to get out there, since I look at this as a journal of sorts. NOT really too personal, because who wants ALL that out there?!

On to the layout!  This is another one with my Gossamer Blue November kit. I used the cut files from the kit on this also.  And I am just too tired to look all the supplies up, so I am skipping them. I know there is Crate Paper, Gossamer Blue, Glitz, American Crafts and Elle's Studio for sure!

You have got to love those big Cardigan puppy ears!

The fun cut file I used from the kit.

Loved the flowers with the banner shape.

So, just a quick post tonight.  I don't think I will be back before next week, there is just a lot going on.  I am GETTING my Christmas shopping done this weekend.  No ifs, ands or buts!  And now they are saying another "winter event" is possibly coming next weekend.  YAY!  It's looking like we might get a white Christmas this year.

Have a great Thursday.

Snow Fun & Cute and Loveable with Gossamer Blue

Snow, snow, and more snow!  I am LOVING it!  Here are a couple pictures of the dogs out in it on Friday.  We got more tonight, about another 4 inches.  We usually don't get a lot of snow at one time, just a couple inches several times a season.  I have to admit that I love it when it piles up!

Jetson hanging out on the porch with his toy collection!

Here's Higgins giving me a wink.  He was having lots of fun!

Sheldon wondering who is going to forge the path, so that he doesn't have to!

And Ella Boo, every time I tried to take a picture of her, she would blink.  Silly girl.

On to the scrappy! I have three layouts done with my Gossamer Blue kit for November, just need one more to get done.  I just have been in a lazy sort of mood, where I don't want to scrap or blog! Not a good thing and I am actually missing it.  I may need to try the ole trick of "grounding" myself from either. That usually takes care of that problem!

Getting Into the Christmas Spirit with Paper Bakery's Holiday Charm

I was up over on the Paper Bakery blog Saturday!  You can find that post HERE if you are interested.

This layout is a mix of the November Holiday Charm Scrapbook and Capture 365 kits.  This is also my take on the Sketch #16 challenge that has now ended.

The gold doily comes in the Capture 365 kit and I wish I had more of them!  I fell in love and I am not a bling type girl!  Perfect to place my title on to make it stand out.

And bows!  What is Christmas without some bows?!

And yeah, this is pretty much how I feel about this movie!!  I watch it at least 3-4 times during the season.  And I have been known to watch it in the summer!

That's it for me this Monday!  Check back later in the week!

Ruby Rock It Guest Design

I was asked to guest for Ruby Rock It way back in the beginning of the year.  So, I have been patiently waiting for today!  You can find my post up over on their blog, where I answered a few questions.  You can find that post HERE.

Here are my projects that I did.  I used the Bethrothed collection, which is wedding themed based.  I wanted to use it in context, but also out of context!

Papers Appliqué BT37 and Dance BT20 Floral BT13

Die cuts BW48
Narratives BWT60
Trims BWT98
Dimensional stickers BWD62
Other Supplies:  Therm o Web Adhesives and Doily

I had to use these "bride and groom" die cuts, but they work perfectly for a Daddy/Daughter dance moment!

I popped up the frame and then I popped up the sentiment a little higher to make it stand out.

I did do a wedding themed card

Paper. Floral BT13
Project cards WPC30
Die cuts BW48
Narratives BWT60

Dimensional stickers BWD65
Other Supplies:  Therm O Web Adhesives

And lastly I did a Happy Birthday card.  The wedding cake was just calling to me for a birthday theme!

Paper flourish BT06

Die cuts BW48
Heart Stickers BW46
Other Supplies:  Therm O Web Adhesives, Lily Bee Letter Stickers, Doily

Those are all my projects for my guest design.  Thanks for having me Ruby Rock It!!!
