Behind the Scenes @ the Photo Shoot-Gossamer Blue Dec #3

Ok, I am working on tweaking a few things here on the blog.  Just a warning, if things look different or out of sorts!  The main thing I am wanting to fix is how big my pictures are and I think I have that figured out!  I hated that they seemed so small, so I widen the blog width just a bit.

I also enlarged the font some to make it easier to read.  I am not sure what happened, but the font size seemed to have changed at some point.

Here is a layout with my December Gossamer Blue kit.  These were "backstage" pictures that April had gotten at the pet model shoot of Jetson and they were too cute not to scrap!

Supplies in Kit: Pattern Paper-Simple Stories (Snap-Polariods), American Crafts (To Do List), Pebbles (Walnut Grove), Crate Paper (Couture & Style), KI Memories (Timeline);  Stickers-Simple Stories (Fundamentals, Typeset, Letters); Vellum Garland-Crate Paper

Supplies not in Kit: Flair-{a flair for buttons} Etsy shoppe;  Adhesive-Scotch ATG, Scrapbook Adhesives and Fabri Tac; Pen-Zig; Punch-EK Success; Letters-American Crafts Thickers

Flair X3!!!  I thought these looked cute along this strip.

And just played with the title some.  I had fun mixing the fonts and colors up.

Hope everyone has a safe and fun New Year's Eve!  Me, I am staying in and nursing this darn cold that is back.  And I am planning on maybe getting something scrappy accomplished!

My Top Ten blog hop giveaway is still open!  So, if you haven't entered head over to this POST and comment!

My Top Ten of 2012 (Along with a blog hop!)

Wow, the year has flown by.  It's been a year of change for me, that is a definite.  I hate cliches and see I told you's, but I have to say the following:  When one door closes, another one opens.  And I truly think it is always for the better.  You may not see it at first, but it eventually comes.

You probably came here from Audrey Yeager's blog!  I am the last stop on the hop.

So, here are my ten favorite projects from the past year.  It's hard to narrow them down.  Some I knew wouldn't make the list, but then others I couldn't decide between.  In no particular order, here we go!  And I know it looks like I am favoring Ella, but I swear I am not!  LOL  These are all favorites for one reason or another, which I will list out to the side!

First time trying to get really "artsy" on a layout and one of my first Basically Bare projects

So, leave me a comment about which project is your favorite and from all the comments I will randomly pick a winner for a scrappy goodie prize.  I haven't decided what it will be yet, but I know it will be good!

I will leave the giveaway open until midnight on New Year's Eve and will announce the winner here on the blog, Jan. 2, 2013.

NOTE:  You must leave a way to contact you in your comment.  If I don't have a way to contact you and you are drawn, I will pick another winner.

Now there are a lot of other scrappy peeps participating in the hop, so make sure you check them out!!  I am at the end, so if you got here before the others, make sure and start at the beginning!

First blog on the hop is Liz Chidester, so start at hers!

You can see the paint dimension here.  Yes, that is me in an elf hat!  And I am pointing to "Totty the Sonic Elf".  I am so sad that Sonic doesn't have him back this year.

Close up of the title work.

That free JC Penny flair they were handing out went perfect with the blue mist color!

Just a shot of how I "hung" the ornaments on the page.

Thanks for stopping by!  Make sure to check out the Basically Bare blog and the Art Anthology blog for lots of great ideas on using these products together.  I can tell you...I already ordered more!

Whew, whirlwind of a week already and it is only going to get worse until Christmas is over!!  I haven't had much energy to scrap this week, but I have a bunch of projects done that I can share!  I am hoping to get a little scrappy time in at least once this week, but we will just have to see.

I got my Gossamer Blue kit last week and jumped right in.  Within a matter of a couple of days, I had three layouts done, edited and ready to post for the blog.  All of the layouts came together quickly, except for me going thru Silhouette files to use!

Just a little close up!

And another!  It was hard for me to doodle and it not be "perfect" but that IS the point of doodling!  And I ended up loving how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by today!!  Hope it's a good one.  And I am hoping for snow!  hee hee

Snow Fun-Little Yellow Bicycle Winterings Layout

This is up over on the Little Yellow Bicycle blog today!  Totally a different type of layout than I normally do.  I broke the page into sections and worked on each one individually.  I like how it turned out, but it did take me a bit longer than normal!

Supplies:  Pattern Paper, Embellishments, Letters-Little Yellow Bicycle (Winterings); Doily-Wilton; Pearls-Recollections; Twine-May Arts; Adhesive-Scotch ATG

I tied some twine around that banner, just for some added fun!

Love those vellum taps-no pun intended!

I would love it if you would leave me some love over there!  I just realized...Jetson will be on my layout for tomorrow also.  I guess it's just his week on the blog!
