Supplies:  Pattern Paper-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker (Exit Here); Die Cuts, Letter Stickers and Buttons-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker; Ribbon-Supplied by Ribbon Carousel; Punch-Fiskars; Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives

A close up of the title work and the ribbon I used on this project.

LOVE this owl, she's pink!  I covered her suitcase with the hearts and then trimmed off her hitchhiker sign to make her go with the layout.

And then here is my card!

Supplies: Pattern Papers-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker (Noah); Cardstock-American Crafts; Ribbon-Supplied by Ribbon Carousel; Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives

Silhouette Cameo with the following file:
Design ID #11627

Close up of the title work.  Can you believe that I cut this with an older blade?  The hardest part was getting the dots on my i's to stick and stay!

And I HAD to use this ribbon.  It was calling for a BIG bow on a card!  I did tie the bow separate from the strip of ribbon underneath.
I think my bows just look better this way.

You just need to comment on each designer's blog.  See the prizes and announcement details below.  You have until Saturday to make it thru!

Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker will be giving away a scrapbooking kit (winner's choice!) and The Ribbon Carousel will be giving away a $25 gift certificate to the Ribbon Carousel Store Enjoy the hop and be sure to leave some blog love along your way to be eligible for the prizes!  Winners will be announced Saturday night at 8:00 PM EST.

The winners will be announced on Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker blog and the Ribbon Carousel blog.

Snail's Pace-Gossamer Blue #4 (August)

Just letting you know that this week won't be filled with post like last week!  I am a little behind, but I will still probably have three posts this week!

Yippee, I have finished 4 layouts with my Gossamer Blue kits, so I am ready to go for September when it gets here.  This next layout is so NOT like my style.  There are no pop dots ANYWHERE?!  What, was I sick...maybe, I think I just wanted to get the layout done because it was late!

Pattern Paper: Crate Paper (Pretty Party); Pretty Little Studio (Plaid, Coral, Blue Floral, Ruler); LilyBee (Double Dutch); Heidi Swapp (Sugar Chic);  Tab Labels-Pretty Little Studio; Banner-Heidi Swapp; Banner Pennant-Pretty Little Studio; Index Card/Letter Stickers-Lily Bee (Buttercup and Double Dutch); Brads/Buttons-Crate Paper (Pretty Party); Word Sticker-My Mind's Eye

Additional Supplies not in kit
Twine-May Arts; Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri-Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives: Pen-Zig Micron

Close up of the banner....I just cut part of it off and then layered it.  I misted the bottom, but thought it would look neat with the top layer white.

And that little flower brad is cute!  I will warn you they do stick up pretty high in your albums though!

So that is it from me today!  I feel like I am behind, after being caught up all week...darn it.  Well, hopefully I can get caught back up this week and weekend.  Have a great day!

Growing Up is Optional-Jillibean

These pictures of Sheldon were taken on a Friday and I swore I was going to do a layout titled "Happy Friday" but then I saw the die cut in Jillibean Soup's Grandma's Lima Bean collection and decided that the "Growing Old is Mandatory.  Growing up is Optional" was perfect for the picture!

I loved the circles on one of the pattern papers, but didn't want the blue background.  When I saw the pink woodgrain I knew I wanted to use it.  I created a .Studio file in my Silhouette software to have cut out circle where the circles on the paper are.  It took a few tries, but using my ruler and some patience,  I got it to work.  And if you are wondering,  I saved that file!  LOL

Supplies: Pattern Paper-Jillibean Soup (Soup Staples, Grandma's Lima Bean, Winter Tortellini); Twine-May Arts; Die Cuts-Jillibean Soup (Grandma's Lima Bean); Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives; Font-Pharmacy (

Silhouette Studio with the following files:

My own file for the circles
Design #18467

Here is a close up of that circle cut out pattern.  I punched out a few circles from the pink text paper and popped them up on the woodgrain.  I liked the tone on tone.

Close up of the journaling.  I just printed on copy paper, then adhered my pattern paper on top and ran thru the printer.  Cut into strips and popped them up.

That's all from me today!  Have a fun Monday.  Personally, I can't wait until next!

Love this Face-Bascially Bare/May Arts Swap

Three things make me super excited about this post!  First, Basically Bare is teaming up with May Arts...can you say ribbon heaven?!  Second, I got to use some of the Everyday Eclectic collection again.  Third, I got to scrap on of the pictures from our pet modeling session taken by April Turner from UTurn Studios!

April took all four dogs pictures, with Higgins being the biggest ham of them all. We only got a couple of Jetson, so I wanted to scrap his picture first.  Didn't April do a great job?!  (you will probably see a lot more of these pet modeling pics!)

Supplies: Pattern Paper-Echo Park (Everyday Eclectic); Canvas and Chipboard Hearts-Basically Bare; Ribbon and Jute-May Arts; Mists-Mr. Huey's (White and Piglet); Punch-Martha Stewart; Date Sticker-Echo Park (Everyday Eclectic); Letters-Echo Park and American Crafts; Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri-Tac, ScorTape and Scrapbook Adhesives

Photo by April Turner @ UTurn Studios

used with her permission

I covered this chipboard heart with pattern paper and then cut out some random hexagons and popped them up over the pattern on the heart.  I wrapped the jute twine around the heart a few times and then tied a bow.

I loved the striped ribbon, but couldn't figure out how to incorporate it into my layout.  So, I cut out the center of the large canvas heart and just backed it with the ribbon.  The colors were a little overwhelming, so I toned them down my misting the heart with Mr. Huey's in White. I cut a smaller heart out of my leftovers and misted it with Mr. Huey's in Piglet.

And you know I love my bows!  I thought this was a cute accent at the bottom of the photo.

So that's it for me and the Basically Bare/May Arts swap.  I love May Arts ribbon, so I had a lot of fun doing this swap!  Be sure to hit the Basically Bare blog and the May Arts blog to see what is happening on them!  Have a great day.

Everyday Love-Gossamer Blue #3

So, it's my third layout with my Gossamer Blue kit(s) and I have a fourth one done that I need to photograph and take pics of.  Which means, for August I am good!  One of the perks of GB kits is that after six months, if you have completed 4 layouts you get an album to put them in!  So, my goal is as soon as I get the kit every month, is to whip out those four layouts!  (AND I am DYING to dig into my Cocoa Daisy is screaming at me!)

This is one of those pictures that I had printed and then didn't use again.  I just can't let a photo go to waste that I have worked to edit, size and print out.  I don't care if I happen to use it twice or more.  If I liked it enough to use it the first time, chances are I love it enough to use it again.  Plus, Jetson is so photogenic it just amazes me.  The dog doesn't take a bad picture.  Well, I do have a scary one that I will have to post....picture "rabid blue squirrel" and that pretty much sums it up.

Pattern Paper: Crate Paper (Pretty Party); Pretty Little Studio (Plaid, Coral, Blue Floral, Ruler); Prima (Alla); Heidi Swapp (Sugar Chic);  Tab Labels-Heidi Swapp; Banner-Heidi Swapp; Banner Pennant/Hexagons-Pretty Little Studio; Index Card/Letter Stickers-Lily Bee (Buttercup and Double Dutch); Brads/Buttons-Crate Paper (Pretty Party); Velum Bag-Unknown; Word Sticker-My Mind's Eye

Additional Supplies not in kit
Mists-Mr. Hueys (Orchard); Twine-May Arts; Cardstock-American Crafts; Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri-Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives: Pen-Zig Micron

I started to trim those banners out, but then just decided not to because it's a "different" type of banner look that you don't see.

I played off the accent color of the kit, orange.  I misted the Heidi Swapp resist banner in Mr. Huey's Orchard color.  I love the "pop" of it.

Here is hoping that you have a great day!  And hoping that if I am working, the day is going quickly.  hee hee

Puppy Food Run-Cocoa Daisy Fun

First of all, totally in love with how this came out!  Once I got the August Cocoa Daisy kit, I knew that the colors were perfect for these pictures of Carleen.  The kit has somewhat of a travel theme, so time to change it UP.

I started with that Silhouette area.  First with bones, but then I didn't like just that so I added in the paws.  I luckily kept the leftover cutouts, because I thought I might be able to incorporate them into my page a some point.  I decided that section need a border and since I was in the Cameo mode, I looked thru my files and found that fun border from Laina and thought it would look great with that orange map paper.  After that it was a lot of playing and moving until I got everything the way I wanted it.

Supplies:  Pattern Paper-Heidi Swapp (No Limits), Studio Calico (Abroad), Basic Grey (Clippings), Bazzill Basics (Wayfarer), My Mind's Eye (Indie Chic); Element Stickers-Basic Grey (Clippings); Twine-May Arts; Ink-Maya Road; Washi Tape-We R Memory Keepers

Additional Supplies not in kit:
Flair-{a flair for buttons} Etsy Shop; Letters-American Crafts Thickers;  Adhesive-Scotch ATG, Fabri-Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives;

Silhouette Cameo with the following cutting files:
(found at two peas)

Design id #30949

Design id #26215

I just used one of my leftover bones and made a little cluster of embellishments.  I HAD to add that WOOF flair button.
That corner was begging for it!

A close up of my Silhouette work, along with the fabby camera stamp that was in this month's kit!  I pieced together that cut out background from the files above.  It took some playing, but I figured out how to erase some of the cut lines to make half elements in spots.  I then took my leftovers again and used the other side of them since it was white graph paper.  Inked them and then popped them up.  I LOVE that postage stamp border, it's from Laina Lamb Designs at Two Peas.

Well, I think I am going to go scrap for the weekend!!  (i.e. you are probably reading this during the week!)  Thanks for stopping by, have a great day.

Girl Time with Jillibean Soup Anyone?!

I guess I have been on a mojo train to Scrappytown lately.  I don't know when the last time I have gotten this many layouts done in this timeframe.  Granted, I had gotten three done at a crop, but still...I am in total shock!

I love the fact that even though I have been using some kit club stuff, I am also using from my stash.  I bought this Jillibean collection a while back and had just never gotten around to pulling it out to use.

I have a bunch of pictures that I took at The Cup when we took the girls down. The light coming in the front window can be tricky, but I love the results of the pictures.  I also cropped these a weird size, but I wanted to work with some different sized photos.  I actually printed out three different pictures, but same type of scene.  So, you know me, that odd leftover will get scrapped by itself pretty quickly.

Supplies: Pattern Paper-Jillibean Soup (Neapolitan Bisque); Die Cut Embellishments-JilliBean Soup (Neapolitan Bisque); Stickers-JilliBean Soup (Neapolitan Bisque); Punch-Fiskars; Twine-The Twinery;  Sketch-Sketches for Scrapbooking (Allison Davis); Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives

Silhouette Cameo with the following files:

Design ID 30966

See the "you hold the key to my heart" label?  That is from the Silhouette store, which now has a few Jillibean Soup files!!  These labels are print and cut...AWESOME!  I resized it to make it a little bigger, but I have some plans for these labels.  I have played around and figured out some stuff to do with them, just need to get them worked into a layout.

After doing the LilyBee sketch challenge, I am liking the sideways title work.  My title wasn't quite long enough, so I just added a couple of stacked circle embellishments in between the two words.

That's it from me today.  Currently as I am writing this (about a week in advance) I am wanting a cupcake now!  Maybe this weekend.

Star Moment-Gossamer Blue #2

So I mentioned the nieces were down and we went to Branson. We went to the Hollywood Wax Museum.  It wasn't the "best" place to take pictures, I think they do that on purpose!  BUT, we had fun posing with the stars.  They had this wall filled with a mural of nothing but paparazzi and E had the idea to stand in front of it like this!  It turned out pretty cute!

Supplies:  Cardstock-Bazzill; Pattern Paper- Crate Paper (Pretty Party), Pretty Little Studio (Coral-Star Fish), Prima (Alla), 7 Gypsies (Avignon), Simple Stories (Summer Fresh), Heidi Swapp (Sugar Chic);   Labels-Heidi Swapp; Banner-Heidi Swapp; Hexagon Stickers-Pretty Little Studio; Index Card/Letter Stickers-Lily Bee (Buttercup and Double Dutch); Word Stickers-My Mind's Eye (The Sweetest Thing)

Additional Supplies not in kit
Twine-The Twinery, May Arts, and Unknown;  Punch-Fiskars; Ink-Prima; Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri-Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives

Close up of the journaling tag.  And yep, I made a big ole fat mistake when I was writing it.  Label coverup to the rescue!

Just using the bigger label to anchor my title.  I never use those little asterisks, so I thought they would go well with my title as an accent!

So, so happy it's Friday.  No plans for the weekend that I know of, so hopefully some scrappy happenings will commence!

Basically Bare and Authentique Swap

Basically Bare is swapping with Authentique this week! It gave me a chance to use some Authentique goodies ALONG with my Basically Bare goodies.  So make sure you hit both the Basically Bare blog and Authentique blog all this week.

The girls wanted to make their own nail polish at Christmas, so that's what we did on Christmas Eve when they came over.  I have a ton of pictures from the "event" but I wanted to do this one separate from any of the others.  And the paper collection, Lively, from Authentique worked well with the colors in the photo.

Supplies:  Pattern Paper/Stickers-Authentique (Lively); Journaling Tag-Elle's Studio; Doily-Wilton; Button-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker; Clothes Pin-Unknown; Pen-Zig Micron; Dressform/Banner Shapes/Acrylic Frame-Basically Bare; Acrylic Paint; Faber Castell Gelatos; Adhesive-Scotch ATG, Fabri-Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives; Flair-{a flair for buttons} Etsy shop; Punch-EK Success and American Crafts

Hee hee, gave me a good excuse to dress up a dress form again!  I used paper, but then I used some of the canvas leaves from the Blossoms and Bits set to detail the skirt some.  I used Gelatos to color them and the chipboard "stand" for the dress form.

I embossed the acrylic frame, but then decided it needed some color.  So, I dug out the rarely used alcohol inks and luckily had a color that would work!

Just some banner shapes along the top.  The center one is painted, but I attached stickers from the Authentique sticker sheet to cover them and then just trimmed.

Make sure you head over to both the Authentique and the Basically Bare blogs to see all the fabby projects everyone has done!

Cupcake Love with Gossamer Blue

I think I found something to get me out of my funk....kit clubs! Really, I have been in a total, undeniable non creative funk. Until I totally fell head over heels in love with Cocoa Daisy.  So much so, that I really don't have much of my kits left..just bits and pieces.  And trust me, I don't see that love affair ending! Then I got a girl crush on a new kit club Gossamer Blue.  So, I decided to try it out.  NOT that I am not getting things from my LSS, ha it's like Cheers there! (is that song stuck in your head now?  good I hope so!)

Pattern Paper: Crate Paper (Pretty Party); Pretty Little Studio (Coral); Prima (Alla); Heidi Swapp (Sugar Chic);  Tab Labels-Heidi Swapp; Banner-Heidi Swapp; Banner Pennant/Tag/Hexagons/Diagonal Striped Strip-Pretty Little Studio; Index Card/Letter Stickers-Lily Bee (Buttercup and Double Dutch); Brads/Buttons-Crate Paper (Pretty Party); Tissue Paper; Washi Tape-My Mind's Eye

Additional Supplies not in kit
Mists-October Afternoon (Pink Lemonade and Crepe Paper); Twine-May Arts; Cardstock-American Crafts; Punch-Martha Stewart; Stamp-American Crafts/Dear Lizzy; Doily-Wilton; Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri-Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives

Close up of the resist banner.  I probably should have wiped off the mist after spraying, but it was my first time using one of these and I kind of like the subtle look.

The Bits and Pieces kit is really beachy I just covered the saying on the pennant with one of the Heidi Swapp labels and made my own banner.  And I am in love with that button!

And yes, I have three close ups this time.  It's just the way it worked out.  The 'love' letters were white, so I just misted them to make them stand out.  That tissue paper under the hexagon sticker is part of the packaging of the main kit.

I had started a thread over on Two Peas about kit clubs.  You have to find the one that is right for YOU!  It's kind of like bras...there are a ton of different ones out there, but you have to find the one that fits the girl right!  And that is all I am going to say on that subject.

Hammock Love-Playing with Bo Bunny

In a previous post, you saw Sheldon on a box.  He has a few spots in the house that are favorites and are completely funny.  The layout below is one of those spots.  He has now outgrown laying on the netting, but still tries!  Needless to say, the netting is now a little torn up now.  But when he disappears, we know we will probably find him here.

Supplies:  Pattern Paper-BoBunny (Alora); Stickers-BoBunny (Alora); Tags-BoBunny (Alora), Elle's Studio (happy day and documented); Flair-{a flair for buttons} Etsy shoppe; Letters-BoBunny and American Crafts; Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Scrapbook Adhesives and Fabri-Tac

Silhouette Cameo with the following file:
Design ID #3706

Had to add that cute camera flair.  Then I found that documented tag and thought it would look cute pointing to the picture.  Plus, that space just needed something.

Just a little cluster under and beside the pictures.  That tag happy day, is actually from a birthday set of tags from Elle's Studio, but it matched and worked.

Have a great Tuesday, I am not sure what trouble I will get into.  Probably not much, since I do have to work!

Go Your Own Way-Cocoa Daisy August

I had some cropping plans this weekend and was surprised when my Cocoa Daisy kit came on Friday so that I could take it with me!  I really wasn't expecting it until after the weekend.  I adore the color scheme of this kit. These are colors that I probably would not have put together on my own, but I love how everything flows easily.

The nieces were down, so I have a lot of pics to choose from to scrap now. This one with L going the wrong way on the trail cracks me up.  I didn't even intend to get that particular shot, just tried to get her going by me.  Both girls had a great time and were speed demons on the Segways!

Supplies:  Pattern Paper-Heidi Swapp (No Limits), Studio Calico (Abroad), Basic Grey (PB & J & Clippings), Bazzill Basics (Wayfarer); Element Stickers-Basic Grey (Clippings); Letter Stickers-Jillibean; Tags-My Mind's Eye (Round), Little Yellow Bicycle (Discover); Flair-Ormolu; Wooden Car-Studio Calico; Bling-KaiserCraft; Ribbon-May Arts; Ink-Maya Road; Washi Tape-We R Memory Keepers

Additional Supplies not in kit:
Twine-May Arts; Punches-Fiskars and EK Success; Adhesive-Scotch ATG, Fabri-Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives; Sewing Machine

While working on getting this sticker just right, I remembered why I don't use a lot of bling.  My fingers are too big to deal with it and I am clumsy with the tweezers!

And in keeping with my theme of adding something from the Cocoa Daisy logo/card on at least one layout of the kit, I cut out the little bird on the  card and added him in here.

I can't wait to dig into this kit again.  I will have more goodies coming up this week here on the blog also.  I managed to get not only this layout done, but two more in a six hour period.  Trust me, that is MARATHON scrapping for me!

Sister Grins-Having fun with some Amy Tangerine

Ok, just exhausted!  That is all I have to say right now.  I don't know why I am so tired this week and I have little to NO patience for anything.  Yes, you do not want to be around me much if I am like this!

Honestly, I think it's the Olympics.  I get like this every time they come on, because I want to stay up to catch everything.  I have been trying to distance (ha ha) myself the last couple of days, but it just doesn't work.  Darn gymnastics, then swimming, then volleyball...I could go on, but I won't!

Pulled out the Amy Tangerine Sketchbook collection to play with.  This picture, again, is one that I have had printed for awhile and not known what to do with it.  Part of it was the red sweatshirt mixed with the pink....I couldn't get anything to work well with it.  The orange in Sketchbook made the papers work!

Supplies: Pattern Paper-American Crafts (Amy Tangerine Sketchbook); Tags and Clouds-American Crafts (Sketchbook); Letters-American Crafts; Flair-{a flair for buttons} Etsy shoppe; Adhesives-Scotch ATG and Scrapbook Adhesives

Silhouette Cameo with the following files:

Design id #2993

Design id #30517

The heart on the clouds is actually the heart that goes in the center of the camera lens, I just swapped it out.

And the reason I swapped it, is because I wanted to throw some flair on here!  I love this camera cut.  And I am learning I need to think in "other colors" than what the die cut example picture is, which is hard for me to grasp for some reason.

And these have been keeping me busy, but more on them later.  The dogs unearthed a bunny nest, so we had to do an emergency relocation of the nest.  There were four babies total, as far as we know.

Yippee!!!  One more day until the weekend.  Trust me, I cannot wait!

Sheldon's Box-Authentique Color Challenge Entry

Authentique has a Inspiration Color Challenge going on right now.  Since I had these papers left from project for Basically Bare and they fit the colors, I thought I would play along.  You know me...I usually don't do a lot of challenge, but I guess I have been jumping in on some lately.

Hee hee, I have take some pictures of Sheldon in some strange places.  This is one of them.  The layout for the other one will be up later next week.  He LOVED this box when he was smaller  I actually got it to put some supplies in, but he made himself right at home on it.

Supplies: Pattern Paper-Authentique (Lively collection); All Stickers-Authentique (Lively); Twine-The Twinery Baker's Twine; Pearl Gem-Recollections; Punch-Martha Stewart; Adhesive-Scotch ATG and Scrapbook Adhesives; Pen-Zig Micron

The little word stickers are fun to use on photos.  I need to do that more.  It would help if I would remember I had them!  And I had to play with some Twinery's been a little too long since I had.

I popped up the white letter stickers and I made my apostrophe out of an exclamation mark.  I just cut off the bottom and then trimmed the sides.

That is my entry for the color inspiration challenge.  You can still get in on it...I think it goes thru August 15th.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Together-Lily Bee Sketch Challenge

The mojo has left the building...but I have tons of ideas floating around??  How can that be?  I thought for sure I would be scrapping the entire weekend, but alas I did not.  I did it in spurts.  I got two layouts done on Sunday and this is one of them.

It's for the Lily Bee Sketch Challenge, which you can find out about HERE.  I wanted to do something a little different than I normally do and this sketch just seemed to fit my mood.  I love how this turned out.  And I used my 6 x 6 mini pads for the layering, which saved my 12 x 12 pieces...bonus!

Supplies:  Pattern Paper-LilyBee Design (Handmade, Double Dutch and Buttercup); Die-Cuts-LilyBee Design (Handmade and Buttercup); Index Card-LilyBee Design (Handmade); Twine-May Arts; Canvas Heart-Basically Bare; Flair-{a flair for buttons} Etsy Shoppe
Letters-LilyBee Design and American Crafts; Punch-EK Success and Fiskars;
Adhesive-Scotch ATG, Fabri Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives

Just some of the bits and bobs up in the corner...I switched these to the other side from the sketch.  You can also see that flair button.  I think I am having a love affair with flair right now!

And a close up of the title work.  I wasn't too sure about the title going sideways, but it works.  And I added some letter stickers on my picture, just to embellish a little more.

You still have time to get in on the challenge...I think it runs until Aug. 17th.  Have a wonderful Tuesday!
