Some exciting news and then a little School is Cool for you!

I thought I would share my news with you.  I have known for a few weeks now, but just haven't had time to process it in my head yet!  Nikki asked me to be the design team lead for Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker!  I wasn't sure about accepting at first, but decided it might be fun!  I have some BIG shoes to fill since Susan Dupre stepped down, but hopefully I will fill them pretty good.  It means I get to do more posting and showcasing the Design Team Divas work over on the blog, so I am pumped about it!  We have an amazing DT over there and I love showing off their work.

Here is a layout I did for CHA that was used for the School is Cool area!  You know me, I love to showcase that paper can be used for "other" than the theme (if it has one!).  I love this picture of Ella and I, it was just a random moment that I handed Carleen the camera and told her to take some pictures (which is rare....I hate my picture taken!).

BE BACK SOON!!!!!

Supplies: Pattern Paper, Die Cuts, and Stickers-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker School is Cool Collection; Button-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker; Twine-The Twinery Baker's Twine; Adhesive-Scotch ATG and Fabri-Tac; Punch-EK Success;
I am using my Cricut more and more I have found out!  Yes, it's a pain to drag out, but once I have it out I seem to just create things over and over with it!  I used it and my Gypsy to create the background loop paper for this layout and I love the way it looks with the pattern on the paper.  I used the Elegant Edges (my FAV cartridge!) cartridge and just enlarged the shape until I couldn't enlarge it anymore.  If someone wants the exact size, I can look the file up, because I save it, just let me know in the comments!
AND for those of you wanting to get some Twinery Twine...well, they are having a SALE!!!  Whoo hooo, that's right! This is on all the twine, even the fabby new colors!!!!! It is for a limited time, so grab some quick!  The Twinery Baker's twine is the BEST out there!

Ok, I think I have rambled enough for someone that wasn't going to update the blog tonight!!!  Have a wonderful night!!

  11. Congrats on the new duties and title--I just know you from the store and demos (and your blog) but know it is well deserved. So glad someone else uses their pets in a lot of layouts--since I have no 2 legged kids I consider my kitty "my child".

  12. Congrats again, you are going to do a wonderful job. LOVE that cut edge on your layout! I found a permanent home for my Cricut so it sits out and I find I reach for it all of the time!
