An Owl in the house, an award and some news!

Wow, I didn't blog all weekend thinking I didn't have anything to blog about....I think I was a little wrong! I kept having to alter my post title to figure out what I wanted to blog about!!!

First my news....my "Full of Possibility" layout that I did for the Little Yellow Bicycle sketch challenge is one of the three finalist!!! Here's a wall hanging I did with Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker Owl mini album chipboard. I always have to remind myself that you CAN break up a mini album into pieces and make smaller, altered items!!!

Supplies: Owl Shape-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker; Pattern Paper-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker (We Are Family collection); Buttons-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker Cute as a Button buttons;

Ribbon-Offray; Pearls-Recollecitons; Adhesive-Fabri-tac

and Scrapbook Adhesives;Ink-Cat's Eye; hemp cording for hanger

And I got my very first blog award from another blogger, Emily Leiphart. She is one AMAZINGLY talented lady and blogger, so I am very honored that she gave this to me!!! She gave this to me in March, and I am just getting around to getting it up. I met her thru Unity and she is also on the Twinery design team with me!

I am supposed to tell you eight things about myself....mmm....ok!

very cute owl! will try to remember your observation about breaking up a mini-album! i love to make them but don't always end up with the "right" thing to put in them. and btw - i sing glee songs on the way home from work.
