Photography Class....My progress

Taking a little break from posting a scrappy project today!!!  I am going to post some pics from my photography class.  I am taking Maggie Holmes beginner photography class to learn how to work my camera and shoot in manual.  Scary, huh??  It is for me....heck, I am an airhead as it is...throw in a bunch of settings and it's a perfect combo for disaster!!!!

BUT I want to learn to take better pictures, so this is going to help me do it!  So far, I am not too confused...it's just getting it all to work together.
First assignment that we had to post was to capture motion....well, as you know...blizzard here, so no taking the camera outside to do anything!!  The house is rather dark so I had to get somewhat creative.  Here is what I came up with:

If you really want to see them, click on the pictures to make them bigger....it's kind of hard to see since I had to resize them.

Cool huh??  I stopped water!!!!  You can't tell, because the collage is smaller to fit on the blog...but there are water droplets above the measuring cup that you can see too!

So, then I started getting excited about doing this stopping motion thing!!! (note....I have NOT captured the dogs yet...too hard to do inside currently!)
So then I decided I wanted to stop snow!!!!!!  My favorite weather condition!  You can see in this next one better...the flakes were a little bigger and since C had a dark color coat on it shows up more!
The last part of our assignment was to work on making "blurry" backgrounds or bokeh!  This is fun!!!  I wish I had known this with the Christmas lights out, but this year maybe I will play some!!!!
And if you are wondering....those are C's pottery pieces!!!  Aren't they cute?!  Funny, I uploaded to Facebook also....and it wanted me to tag the white face!!
Well, I am on vacation for the rest of the week, so I am going to enjoy my time off.
Anyone been to a CKC??  I am getting to go in April!!!!!  It should be lots of fun!
