PDCC 57 and All Things Unity Challenge

I wanted to thank everyone for all the thoughts and prayers over the past few days, it means a lot.  I know a lot of people talk about how you don't really know people over the internet, but it's kind of like a family atmosphere among the crafting world, I have found.....

Well, I haven't felt up to scrapping much....even bought a new trimmer.  But I decided to play along with the PlayDate Cafe Challenge for the week and then decided to tie in the All Things Unity Challenge.

Here is the picture/colors for the PDCC:  Brown, Grey, and Silver

And since the challenge over at All Things Unity was a tag, I decided to combine them.
Supplies: Unity Stamps KOTM Nov 10, Coredination Cardstock,
Archival Brillance Ink, Studio G gem,
Martha Stewart Border Punch, Ribbon

I need to find one of those comb things to hold tags and cards....I think they are called frogs, but I am not sure.  If anyone knows, could you leave me a comment.....maybe I could get Santa to bring me one!

A Chipmunk Date!

Well, I am full blown sick with a cold.  YUCKY....that's all I can say.  It seems like I always get sick either around Thanksgiving or Christmas.  This year, I guess it's Thanksgiving.  Hopefully, I will be over it by then....because that Friday I start VACATION!!!!  Whooo hoooo....can't wait for that.  And I think I still have two weeks after that that I need to use...but don't know how I will manage to fit it in before mid Dec.!  I think there shall be some crafting going on then!

This layout was up over at Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker on Thursday.  So, if you visited over there you have already seen it....if not, I hope you like it!  I posted a layout "Movie Date" a little while ago...well, this is the big sister with one of the Chipmunks that was in the lobby!  I love the fact she is tilting her glasses in that sassy way!!!  And both of these girls are very dear to me, my adopted kids/nieces!

Supplies:  Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker Something for Everyone Collection, Cute as a Button buttons,
Cool Cord Brads, Unity Stamps, The Twinery Bakers Twine,
American Crafts Thickers, Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set,
Scotch Adhesive, Memento Ink

LOVING pleating paper right now...one of my favorite things to do.
And check out that Baker's Twine from the Twinery!!!!  LOVE,
it doesn't fall apart like some baker's twine that I have worked with!

That's it from me today, I am going to go to bed early and see if that helps this darn cold.  If anyone is planning on doing a December Daily, let me know exactly how you are doing it.....I am thinking it could be a good project for that week I am on vacation!!!!

Just a quick card

I am up over at Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker blog on Thursday...so go take a look!!!!  And there are some other projects from the other girls that will knock your socks off!

Well, I think all the working (probably working the register and touching the money!) has helped me to come down with a cold.  ICK.....I can't breathe, smell, taste, etc.  Not fun at all!  Anyone have any sure fire cures?  lol  I am popping Airborne like it's candy.  It does help me feel better for a little while, but I can tell when it wears off.

I got my Darkroom Door goodies for my guest spot!  WOW, so fun and I can't wait to play.  I will take a picture of what I got...Rachel was so generous and the ideas are spinning in my head...well as much as they can since it's congested and clogged up!  LOL LOL

I did manage to make a card with my Unity KOTM from November.  I had gotten this Pink Paislee paper before my work schedule became so busy and I hadn't had a chance to play.
Supplies:  Core'dination Cardstock, Unity Stamps, Pink Paislee Parisian Anthology,
Prima flower, Making Memories Brad, Memento Ink, Scotch Adhesive

Everyone seems to be working on a December Daily mini album.  I can't decided if I want to do one or not...the thought is fun, but I just don't know.  I still have a few more days to figure out if I want to do one, I guess!!!

I am just going to leave you with this thought....LA LA LA.....I want to be able to breathe normally soon!!!  hee hee

Whew....it's been a while.....

The poor blog.....always gets put to the backseat when life takes over.  And I have really missed blogging for everyone.  Work has slowed a little, but enough that I have some time to actually stop and think!  Never imagined that I would be happy just to do that.

Another plus is I think I lost a little weight!!  LOL  The new store is pretty big and trying to get everything organized and where it should be (or needs to be) sometimes requires a hike back and forth across the store!!!  Well, that and probably the time I didn't have to go to The Cup here in town.  They have gourmet cupcakes that are so yummy!!!  But my favorite is the Confetti...white cake, white icing!  Yeah, I am weird like that!

I do have a little something to share with you.  I made this for the "heArt of Scrapbooking" for my DT entry this month.  I had so much fun with this paper line from My Mind's Eye.  It's the Alphabet Soup girl line...so adorable!!!
Supplies: My Mind's Eye Alphabet Soup,
Maya Road Tags, May Arts Ribbon,
Jenni Bowlin and American Crafts lettering,
Martha Stewart Punches,
Distress Inks, Scotch Adhesive

I continued the butterfly theme with a couple that
I punched out and placed in the corner here.
Paper pleating....loving this technique right now!
I have done it a lot!

And while I have been busy, I found out that I was accepted by The Twinery to be on their design team!!!  I love baker's twine and it's so hard to find locally.  And they have such CUTE colors!!!!!  Be sure to check them out.  I had ordered their sampler pack recently and LOVE this twine...it's wonderful!!!!
The Twinery

Well, that's it for me tonight.  I am going to head to bed here in a minute....my throat..well, let's just say is not feeling well and I am hoping it goes away overnight!!!

Taking a blogging break....

Hey everyone.....the busy part of my job has started so I am taking a blogging break for  at least a couple of weeks.

I don't want you to think I have gone away for good...but my time is LIMTED way more than I thought it would be.  Last week, I didn't actually write it down...but I think I worked closed to 90-100 hours....so yeah...no time and I want to sleep with the time I do have!!!!

Here is a layout that I had done for Kiki Art a while back.  I can't remember if I posted, but I stepped down from Kiki Art right after the last design team call.  I loved being on the team, but I knew my time was going to be limited and I have other things that I want to try to accomplish! This was made with the Sunny Bay collection, that was free with the purchase of Scrapbook Magazine this past summer.

I will catch you guys in a couple of weeks!!!  Hugs!
