It's HERE!!!!!! ANYONE WANNA HOPSCOTCH????????????

Welcome to our first KIKI ART Design Team Blog Hop... however, we'd like to call it a BLOG HOPSCOTCH!

• When? During National Scrapbook Day weekend.
It will run from Thursday, April 29th until Monday, May 3rd.

• How to play?
You can start wherever you want, however, make sure to visit the blogs of our talented design team members.

Also, please make sure to visit the Kiki Art blogs (English, French, and Spanish) to be eligible to win.

Each design team member was asked to select an organization that commits to helping others. Then, they created a project based on their organization featuring Kiki Art products. Make sure to take note of each organization/good cause each DT member has selected.

When you hop from blog to blog, hopefully you will get inspired by all of the beautiful Kiki Art work. We also hope that you are inspired to do good by getting involved in an effort to create a better world through these organizations.

• How to get a prize from the Kiki Art blog?
For your chance to win, you need to leave a comment on the Kiki Art blog letting us know which one(s) was/were your favorite blog(s) during our blog hop and what organization was displayed on that blog. (Don't limit yourself! You can choose as many blogs as you want!)

• How to get a prize from a Kiki Art design team member blog?
Many members of our design team have decided to give away a project that is related to the good cause they believe in. Leave a comment on their blog hop posts, and they will pick a random winner.

On Tuesday, May 4th, all winners will be announced!

Katrina here!  I am highlighting the Children's Miracle Network whose mission is the following taken from their website:
Children's Miracle Network saves the lives of children by raising funds and awareness for children's hospitals and foundations throughout the world.

This is a fantastic organization that is part of a hospital in my town.  I am lucky enough that this hospital is one of Ella's and mine pet therapy visits!  We get to visit the Peds floor.  Every visit is different and you never know if there will be much interaction or not.  But, we always seem to put a smile on someone's face.  There is a telethon every year here on one of the television stations and ALL the money they raise thru the event stays right here to help the children in the area.

Since I have been training for my new job, I haven't had a lot of time.  Many of the Design Team members have made a project to give away, but I didn't have time.  Sooooo....for a giveaway for my blog, one person will win the new WATER RAIN collection from KIKI ART!!!!!  (and I am hoping to do a handmade giveaway again soon.)

To be eligible for my giveaway, you need to leave a comment on this post.  You also need to leave contact information.  If I don't have your contact information (email) then I can't contact you to mail out your prize!  And my team member Sarah de Guzman is so sweet....she is going to mail out the prize so that the winner will not have to wait until I get back from training for my new job.  :)
Here's a pic of Water Rain papers!!!!!

Let the BLOG HOPSCOTCH begin!!! Get inspired and enjoy!

A Mini Album for you!

Well, this is a scheduled I am trying to write in the future....hmmm...wonder how this is going to work out?!

Just so you know...I am busy working on Quizno's training in Hot Springs, AR.  I will try to do a blog post sometime while I am down there just to let you know how it is going.  (I am saying it is going good....hope I am right!)

Now, on to scrappy stuff!

Here is a mini album I did from the Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker collection Bella Blue and Oscar Too.  Now...yes it is a pet themed line, so I am all over it.  But this collection would be so cute to do a princess or prince of the house layout/mini with.  They are so adorable!  Ok there are a lot of I am just going to get to it.......some are duplicates, but I wanted you to see what I did....and a couple of the pics aren't great....the scanner didn't do so well with "dimension" on the pages!

Supplies:  Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker Bella Blue and Oscar Too, Pockets of Stickers, Cord Brads, Craft Flags, Cute as a Button Buttons;  Ribbons are various unknowns, binding is with a Bind it All

See that pocket that hold those tags?  Those are made from the "Pockets of Stickers" that Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker has.  These are so handy to alter and make into different hidden journaling, card holders, etc.
And those tags do NOT come out!  I attached them on the inside so they wouldn't get lost at the trade show Nikki went to.

And I was excited about the hidden journaling on the rooftops also!  I thought those were super cute. Sometimes it is so hard to show the detail in stuff that I am so excited about.  If you want to know how to do any of the extras, just leave me a comment or shoot me an email and I will be happy to share with you.

Ok, off here for now!!!

Hey there, hi, how's it going?

Can you see it???  Just wanted to make sure it was big enough!!!!!

Be sure to join us next weekend...that's all I am going to say for right now!

Just a funny story.  I got a company car to use for work, since my job requires traveling to the stores more.  It needed a good cleaning inside and out before leaving on Sunday for my training.  Well, I wasn't too worried about the outside, because we woke up to rain.

So I finally get around to taking it to the carwash.  I tell them I want the works.....detail inside, etc.  (there was some wonderful Missouri red clay all over the floor mats)  So, I watch it go thru and they wave me to come get I thought that was pretty quick.  Well the inside wasn't done...I paid good money for the detail.  The guy didn't realize I had the whole shebang, so he apologized and said they would get right on it. Yippee...I am going to get to sit a little longer...ha ha...

So, just about the time they are getting done....Severe Thunderstorm Warning....yeah!  So they have to pull it inside to finish it up, because here comes the storm!  I just had to laugh...I didn't really care about the outside looks!  So, after the guy finishes...he gives me a card and explains that the car has to dry for 8 hours after a, just come back and they will do it!  hee hee....I guess that's what I get for taking on a day they are forecasting rain!

So, I am going to leave you with a little pic.  I am going to save the story for might be a easy update to the blog while I am gone!

Have a scrappy kinda day!!!~~Katrina

Wow....time has flown!

I have been so busy, I haven't been able to keep my head on straight!  Between work, studying for work, and trying to get scrappy DT assignments done, I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off!  (no offense to the chickens!)

A little non-scrappy related happenings...I am pretty excited about my new position.  I have started training and have already found things I would like to improve to make things easier for our employees and for things to run smoother.  I have an official title now....don't laugh....I haven't had a "real" title for I don't know how long.  I do so many different things, that they couldn't come up with one.  I am now an "Assistant Coordinator".  Yeah....I am excited I have a title at last!  The funny thing is with the title, I have no place to sit in the office!  YES, you read that right!  We are in the middle of remodeling and I will get a desk soon least I will be gone for three weeks!!!  We have just grown as a company and we needed to "expand" the space for all of us to fit!

Ok, on to scrappy happenings.....

First up, is something that I created for a Kiki Art DT assignment.  I was inspired by Nichol Magouirk...this lady is AMAZING with die cuts!  She had a class on Two Peas about the Making Memories Slice know I love my Slice!  I was inspired from her project to create something similar with my own take on it.

Supplies:  Kiki Art Patterned Papers, Sakura Gelly Roll Pens, Maya Mist, Making Memories Slice with various design cards, and stick pins

Just a little spring tree to brighten a room!   I am not going to lie, it did take a while to cut out all those flowers, but I was at a crop, so I just sat and chatted and it made the time pass by quicker!!!!

So, I am getting ready to be out of town for a few weeks.  I will schedule a few things to post before I leave, which I am going to work on now after I upload this post.  BUT, Kiki Art is doing a BLOG HOPSCOTCH!  And I am participating, even though I will be out of town.  So keep an eye happens next week!!!!
