A just for fun post...

Well, it's Saturday evening and just got back from a road trip today.  Went  to visit Carleen's parents. They are so super sweet!  Well...I kinda visited...I feel so comfortable there that I can fall asleep and take a nap while her dad is napping too!  Took the pups along and they played with her brother's dog.  They had fun running around and barking.  Jetson decided that a "mud" treatment was in order for the day.  Once we got home we had to get the mud out of that fluffy coat.  He definitely needs a B-A-T-H soon!

I got some white Bazzill cardstock and a new Martha Stewart border punch the other night and just had to try it out on the following layout.  YES, I am proclaiming my love of MARTHA!  I love all things Martha and I don't care if she comes up with the idea or not!  Now, if her organizational skills would rub off on me...well that would be the "Bee's Knees" in my book!!!  Weird...I am organized at work....at home...well, let's just not talk about it!

And speaking of LOVE....Glue Arts and Kiki Art have teamed up!!!  I used all Glue Arts adhesives on this layout.  So easy and so sticky!!!  I used the Glue Glider Pro, some of the Squares and the Ribbon adhesive.  I bet you are wondering about the ribbon adhesive, since there is no ribbon on the layout.  Well, it was PERFECT to attach that thin strip of white with the pink flowers right above the picture.  So, remember if your tape runner's width is too large, think of ribbon adhesive to tack paper down also!!!

Supplies:
Kiki Art Jardin collection, Glittered Chipboard Hearts, Amor Bling and Puzzle Pieces; Sakura Pens,American Crafts Thickers,
Making Memories Slice/Sping Card, Martha Stewart Punch around the Page,
Bazzill Cardstock, Glue Arts Adhesive

Here are some closeups of a few of the elements:
I cut this title with my Slice out of  JARDIN cerca y florcitas And then went along the inside of the letters with a Sakura glitter pen.  After adhering the title, I thought it needed something a little more so I went around the outside of the letters with the same pen.

Below, I did my journaling on one of the Puzzle Pieces...LOVE these for journaling spots...so cute.  And I took the same Sakura pen from above and traced along the edge to add  a little something!!!  And that grass:  Well, it was cut from the same Slice card out of JARDIN Mariposas GW and  JARDIN cerca y florcitas also. I then traced with a Sakura Pen and then pop dotted for dimension.
And last but not least...the snail!  I couldn't figure out where I could use one of the Glittered Chipboard HeartsKiki Art has...but I really wanted to use one.  SOOOOO....I cut it in half, trimmed a little, and then made a snail head to glue to it.  Then, of course, every snail has a shell that has a swirly in it...so I took the Amor bling and made a swirl!

Well, that is it for today....I am tired and glad the Olympics are about over......I can't take staying up so so late for much longer.  My days and nights are totally mixed up.  I have never really gotten back on schedule from being on vacation a couple of weeks ago!!!

Don't forgot, BLOG CRAWL is happening next weekend.  I have started the "gift" that I will be giving away that weekend.  So, you need to be sure and check back!!!  Plus...I hear that my DT box with new stuff from Kiki Art is in the mail and winging it's way to me....Whoo hooo.....I love paper!!!!

Have a Scrappy Kinda Day!!~~Katrina
