New Site for Scrapbook Challenges!!!
Hey Everyone!!!!
No layout today, darn Twilight series of books! I hadn't started them, but finally did. I am finished with Twilight and have started New Moon. Watched Twilight last night and the books are SOOO much better!
Anyway, the sketch team I design for Scrapbook Challenges has MOVED from MySpace!!! It was not an intentional move on Pamela's part, but several people could not get into the group at all, or when we did the setup was messed up, etc. They have had trouble before, so Pamela decided to move it. AND it is SOOOO much better now. We are all excited about it and the possibilities that we can do with it! And there is even a CHAT forum!! So if you are hanging out on the forums and want to chat, you can pop in and see if anyone is around. How fun!!!
Here is the new site and PLEASE come join us!! SCRAPBOOK CHALLENGES There is a gallery on this site, so you don't have to link thru photobucket to show off your work...and the work is all in the gallery, so if you want to just drool over layouts/projects you can!!!
We do not have new blinkies right now, so I am going to leave my blinkie on the sidebar, but I will change it to link to the new site!!!
Pamela has great giveaways for participation and we would love to get to know those that love sketches!!!! She has great sketches and sketches are great for those Mojo blocks we all experience from time to time!
And for giveaways, check out Paperlife.com. Amy is GREAT over there...she has giveaways all the time, tips, videos, and just plain fun!! There is also a message board and gallery over there. You know you want to post stuff for everyone to see!!!
And the best think about both is that they are both NING.com sites. So, if you learn to navigate one site, you will be super comfortable on the other!!!!
So come join us!!!!

Poor Blog and a NEW LAYOUT!!
Ok, MAJOR crazy week here!!! Training at real job (the one that pays for the scrappy supplies), scrapbooking injury, and no scrappy time adds up to what I feel like is a neglected blog. Poor blog....how I missed you!
I had a sore back and thought I had a UTI, once you get those, you are always prone. Well, when I visited the doc, she said "does this hurt" as she was pushing on my lower back...Well, let's just say I about came up off the table. "Nope," she says "it's your SI joint (or something like that) don't lift and twist." Well, I couldn't for the life of me figure out what I had done to it. Then it dawns on me.....I had went to a crop and let me tell you, I take EVERYTHING...you never know what you (or your scrappy buddies) might need. You guessed it...lifting my rolling tote to get it in and out of the car or into the house!!!! Laugh, go ahead, I know you want to!! I did when I figured it out!!!
DenimandDaises.net is getting ready for their GRAND OPENING this weekend! If you haven't checked out the site yet, please do. The forum is already rocking, we have a gallery that you can show off your work, both digi and traditional scrappers will find this site FUN! The traditional side is still in the works a little, but there are challenges to be happening for BOTH groups to participate in. Stop by soon and let us know you found us and stay awhile!!!! (As more details surface, I will be sure to keep you updated here on the blog too!)
I went to the Habitat for Humanity Crop this weekend and had a BLAST. How many layouts did I get done, you ask........ZERO! I met a new scrappy friend and we have decided we were separated at birth and I had so much fun!!!! Karen is on Spellbinders design team and you can check out her work HERE!!!!!
SSSAB=Scrappy Sister Separated at Birth Karen coined the phrase and I love it!!! I got quite a few pics at the crop, I hope to post some more this week!
Here's the layout I started at the crop and then the mouth took over and well,.......oh look...a butterfly.....and I never finished it! So, I worked on it tonight and it fell together pretty quick. I used the Bo Bunny letter stickers as a mask and just inked over them and then pulled them off. AND, I found some of the new Martha Stewart deep edge border punches, so I got to use it on the layout! It's the brown lattice border at the top. LOVE it...I got another one that makes a daisy type chain totally punched out strip....super cute, will hopefully get to use it tomorrow!! Well, I have prattled on enough, so I think I am going to go clean up the scrappy mess and get some shuteye! Thanks for coming by!

Supplies: Bo Bunny Delilah line, Maya Road Chipboard Leaves,
American CraftsThickers, Ranger Van Dyke Ink,
FabricTac and Tombow Adhesive,
MarthaStewart Border Punches:
Tripled Dotted Scalloped, Double Loop and Garden Trellis

My Blog is Being Featured and a New Layout!

Hi Everyone!!!
My blog is being featured on Monday (Oct 19 2009) in Scrapbooking.com's weekly newsletter!!!! Hi to everyone that has come here from the newsletter, btw. I love visitors. :) Scrapbooking.com had contacted me a while back about being featured. I was so excited and am so happy that the time is finally here.
Here is a little scrappy goodness I just finished up in time to take pics of. It's a layout of sweet Ella, who puts up with me and the outfits I put on her. I just love this Cosmo Cricket paper line, Girl Friday. I just keep finding stuff to do with it and I am never stumped as to what to come up with...as a matter of fact, I have to limit myself not to overload my pages.
Inspiration from this page came from a AWESOMELY talented scrapper, Sasha Holloway. This girl is amazing and I love her style. The circles are total inspiration from her!
Supplies: Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday papers and chipboard, Cat's Eye inks, Acrylic
Paint, American Crafts Thickers, Hey Gorgeous font from AmandaandKevin.com,

Couple of Layouts to Share!!
Hi everyone!!! It has finally quit raining buckets here. It's been cloudy/rainy so it has been a little hard to take pics.
I got a couple of layouts done this weekend, YEAH!!! One is just a "fun, no strings attached" layout I wanted to do about a lady that is very dear to me. Bless her heart, she has tried to teach me some things in the kitchen at Christmas and she has the patience of a saint. Luckily, I didn't "ruin" the pie dough that she tried to teach me how to make one year! This pic isn't from then, but it will always remind me of her kitchen.

Supplies: Cosmo Cricket Early Bird line papers, American Crafts Thickers, Jenni Bowlin letter stickers, Autumn Leaves Stamp Set, Recollections Cardstock, Ribbon Unknown, Tombow and FabriTac Adhesives

My other layout was a fun one to come up with. It's a picture of my best friend and her just being silly!! We had taken a road trip to the outlet malls in Branson and these rocks were a perfect photo op I thought. So, I made her climb up so I could take pictures. She kept telling me to hurry up that there were people watching! At least we provided some entertainment for the shoppers that were bored. There are several pictures, because I wanted to show some of the details. I love this layout!!!

Monday Reveal Time using Nikki Sivils Papers!
So, Monday is reveal day for us DT members of Scrapbook Challenges. Sometimes it is hard for me to wait, if I have the layout already done! I was so excited to use this sketch. This layout has to be one of the quicker ones I have done.
The papers are from Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker Halloween line Boo-tiful. Wait..the matting on the two photos is from the Henry's Brilliance line..oppsie! And see, you don't have to use Halloween paper just for Halloween! I actually could have used color photos for this, because I had on an orange shirt, but I just love the look of black and white pics right now. And, BONUS~~You can use ANY color of papers with them! If you haven't tried to scrap some black and white pics, do it. It's quite fun and you might just get addicted!!!
I know I have skipped a sketch in here and I am hoping to get it up sometime this week. Thanks for all the recovery wishes on the migraine. I basically ate Excedrin Migraine all week after I got over the worst part of it...no fun, but I am on the mend and ready to get some scrappy goodness done!
On to the pics! And hey, do the sketch and link me up! I would love to see what YOU do with it! I just might get some ideas!

SUPPLIES: NIKKI SIVILS, SCRAPBOOKER: HENRY'S BRILLIANCE (PHOTO MATTING) AND BOO-TIFUL PAPER LINE; CORE'DINATIONS CARDSTOCK; BUTTONS: UNKNOWN; CAT'S EYE INK; AMERICAN CRAFTS THICKERS; MAKING MEMORIES LETTER STICKERS; RIBBON MAY ARTS; MARTHA STEWART 3 DOTTED SCALLOPED BORDER PUNCH
