Another Sneak Peek!! Nikki Sivils and News of a Giveaway during CHA!!!!

Alright, I ran to Nikki's house on Saturday and she gave me the second line of papers to work with!!! Whoo hoo...."notice the profile pic change" I had to have some pics to work with and I thought the orange shirt would go great!

I am hoping to get to scrap tomorrow night, that is if I stay off the computer! And this Friday is another GREAT crop by The ScrapNook. Both stores are celebrating Sheri's Bday, so Friday's crop is FREE. I am going to Bolivar to help Sheri celebrate, but there is a crop in Springfield too. If you are local and wanting to "try out" a crop, looking for a fun night, or just want to PLAIN SCRAP, you need to go to a ScrapNook Crop!

Here are the pictures of Victoria's Street...these are actually available and shipping now.

Also, Nikki was wanted to thank some blog readers with a little giveaway during CHA. There will be more of a post on that later.....let's just say it's a little treat for you! AND you will get the treat before it hits the stores!!!!!

Rusty Pickle...

Rusty Pickle has an awesome contest for a new design team. The "Amazing Race" has started! Check it out. :)

New Layout w/Nikki Sivils Papers!!!!

Here is my first layout with the new Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker line Sweet Cherry Pie. I did the ultimate boo boo while doing this layout....I dropped an ink pad onto the layout itself. It hit a small part, which I am hiding with something, but I am not going to tell you where! And I had to reprint a picture, because it bounced and hit one of those too!

Supplies: All papers, corduroy brads, and ribbon are from the Sweet Cherry Pie line.
Distress Ink in Peeled Paint to ink the circles that I punched out for the "leaves".
Felt bird is from Maya Road. Thickers and Bo Bunny Press letters.

Thanks for looking and let me know what you think!!! Also, you should become a follower of my blog, because during CHA I might have a surprise for one lucky follower!!!

A week???!!!

Alright, I can't believe that I haven't posted anything for a week...what is up with that? I have been kind of dragging around lately. I hate HOT HUMID weather...why was I born and live in Missouri? I have always said I could live in Alaska or in Seattle. I love rain, snow, all the wet stuff! Weird I know, but hey, someone has to be!

I finally got the pics taken of my layout that I did at the 3 day crop that was my favorite! These are my favorite shoes of all time. Unfortunately, Keen no longer makes these shoes. DARN it. I saw this paper from Sassafras Lass, and thought I had to use it with the shoes! I love Sassafras Lass and it's hard to get my hands on it. It comes into the LSS and then it's gone before I can get there!

Supplies all papers Sassafras Lass Vintage Yummy line, Lettering is Thickers and Bo Bunny Chipboard, Stamps are ImageTree (I think, I borrowed them because I forgot mine) and Buttons and Ribbons are unknown. Overlays on pictures are by Carina Gardner Photocuts Overlays v.1. You can get the digikit for those here!!!! Photocuts by Carina Gardner

I fringed the edges of the paper, to add some texture and dimension to the page. I also stamped words into the spaces, to actually make it look like a crossword!

Thanks for looking!!! and keep watching....feeling a RAK giveaway maybe happening!!!!!

Be sure to checkout Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker for updates to her new company. Her design team is busy at work creating new layouts and projects with her papers that are out. I have some and just haven't had a chance to play with them....maybe tonight!!!!

Wow What a weekend!!!!

Well, it was quite a fun weekend. The girls @ the ScrapNook in Spfld, Mo KNOW how to put on a fun all weekend long crop. We cropped from Friday thru Sunday and I can't even remember how many layouts we all got completed! It was a great time and the best cropping that you can find in Springfield, I PROMISE! There may be other crops, but the ScrapNook's are ALWAYS guaranteed to be fun! They make you feel WELCOME and like everyone belongs. No question is stupid....even if you forgot your trimmer!!!!! (yes, yes I did on Friday....don't ask in a hurry to get the crop...thank goodness it was in town!)

Here are a couple of layouts that I completed there. One of my favs, the pics didn't turn out, so I will save it for another post!

The Slooow..down materials are: Thickers and Basic Grey chipboard letters, My Little Shoebox papers, Prima flowers, Making Memories ribbon, EK Success border punch and Martha Stewart felt doily cut up and sprayed with pink bubblegum glimmer mist (this creates the scalloped edge on the circle.

Look at Me: Love, Elise papers, Bo Bunny Love Shack Paper, Fancy Pants Chipboard flower, Prima Film Strip, Kaiser Craft Rhinestone Butterfly, and Thickers.

News!!

No pics today...I haven't scrapped this week!!!

I submitted a l/o to ScrapStreet.com for their Pet Park section. I got an email from Terry that they want to use it in the July or August issue!!!!! It's an ezine that puts out a new issue every month. It was the first time that I have submitted anything, so I am pretty excited. So, yeah, I will get to have one of those "out for publication" pics soon. ;)

Nikki dropped me off some of her new items to play from her line "Sweet Cherry Pie" to play with and I can't wait. Going to a 3-day crop today, so I am planning on using them to make a layout or two. I will post pics as soon as I get the OK from Nikki.

I did some fun things with PSE and some pics of my shoes I took the other day. I am planning a L/O with them, so you will get to see what I did probably after this weekend.

Well, off to the shower, pack the car and head to the LSS for some major cropping time!!!

Scrapalicious :)

New Layout!! IN LESS THAN AN HOUR!

Whew...over at the CreativeScrappers forum there was a 1 hour layout challenge last night. They gave you a sketch and you had 1 hour to complete your L/O and 15 minutes to upload to their gallery.

My mojo has kind of been not around since the beginning of the week and I wasn't even going to do the challenge, but then something clicked and I decided to go ahead. I had NO plan, no picture picked out, etc. AND, I started about 10-15 minutes late by the time I got everything set up for me to scrap.

Well, I made it at the very last second!! Everyone that participated is getting Cosmo Cricket Rub-Ons! Cosmo Cricket sponsored the challenge for the board owner....how great is that?!

I think my L/O turned out pretty good, considering all the factors. And I have never worked with a sketch before, so that was new to me also. Then to top it all off TarynLeah nominated my L/O for Layout of the Day!!! There were some great entries and I feel honored to have been picked. Here is "the Poser" journaling reads: Jetson LOVES the camera. And I would say the camera loves him back!

K&Co. Carolyn Gavin (I "heart" this line of papers) papers and embelies; Love, Elise for the green embossed leaf paper; My Little ShoeBox for the brown polka dot paper; Bo Bunny for the ribbon, jounaling tag, and the tag that "the" is placed on; American Crafts Thickers in green glitter and white.
